Madonna has taken to Instagram to show off the "beautiful scar" on her leg while posing in a black crop top and hot pants.

The 'Like a Virgin' singer posted a series of pictures to show off her leg after she had a cupping procedure that left her with circular scars across her legs.

Alongside the cup-shaped marks, she had another scar at the top of her left thigh.

These marks were accompanied by the 62-year-old singer's toned abs and lean thighs as she rocked her black two-piece outfit.

She left her hair, which is currently dyed pink, straightened over her shoulders, and finished off the look with bangles around her wrist and a chunky, colorful necklace.

The singer accompanied the photographs with the hashtags "recovery", "cupping" and "beautiful scar".

As per the Sun, cupping is an alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin for a few minutes at a time. This creates painful-looking red marks that are believed to help with pain, inflammation, and blood flow, and it is also thought to promote relaxation.

This comes after Madonna revealed earlier this month that she had gotten her first-ever tattoo.

Madonna also took to Instagram to share the inking, which was done at the tattoo studio, Shamrock Social Club, and posted a series of pictures with the last unveiling the tattoo itself.

She captioned the photo: "Inked for The Very First Time... #family."

The 62-year-old had the letters LRDMSE tattooed on her wrist.

Needless to say, the letters were not without meaning for the star and represented the names of all of her children from eldest to youngest: Lourdes, 24; Rocco, 20; David, 15; Mercy, 14; Stella, 8; and Estere, 8.

The star's tattoo revelation came a week after she shared a heartwarming and rare post featuring her kids.

In a 2019 interview with Today, the 62-year-old opened up about her experience with motherhood over the last couple of decades or so.

"It's reminded me how precious time is and… how each child requires attention and vigilance and guidance in a different way and really you have to be ready for anything," Madonna told hosts of Today.

"Children teach you, obviously," she added. "Everyone says that. First and foremost, they teach you to stop being obsessed with yourself because they're always there to throw a wrench into the works. Self-obsession [is] not allowed with children."
