The Royal Wedding was one of the biggest events this year, with millions tuning into to watch Meghan Markle and Prince Harry officially tie the knot, with the day looking closer to a fairytale ending than real life. All kinds of celebrities were in attendance, with Serena Williams, David Beckham, Oprah and Tom Hardy getting an invite to the big day.

But the star of the day was clearly Meghan - and her Givenchy wedding dress.

The dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller - the first female director for Givenchy - after the two met in 2017. Meghan reportedly chose Keller due to her "elegant aesthetic" and "relaxed demeanour".

Harry was obviously a massive fan of the dress, with his response caught on camera for all to see. After Meghan walked down the aisle, she was greeted at the altar by her soon-to-be spouse, who could be seen saying "You look amazing" to his bride. Unsurprisingly, Twitter went into meltdown at the heartwarming moment - with plenty overcome with emotion for the couple.

And he clearly wasn't the only one enamoured with the dress either, given the response online. However, there were a wide range of thoughts on the way she looked:

Now, in a recent interview, Meghan has been reunited with the Givenchy dress, in advance of a new palace exhibit which will display the gown for the public to see.

The interview, which is her first as a royal, is part of Queen of the World - a two-part documentary on Queen Elizabeth. Kensington Palace and The Royal Family shared a clip of the upcoming documentary on Instagram, showing Meghan speak about her dress.

The veil paired with the dress was embroidered with 53 flowers from the Commonwealth countries, a detail that Meghan reflected on - even discussing how it was a surprise for the rest of the family:

"It was important for me, especially as a part of the royal family, to have all 53 of the Commonwealth countries incorporated. And I knew that it would be a fun surprise as well for my now husband, who didn't know.

"And he was really over the moon to find out that I would make this choice for our day together, and I think the other members of the family had a similar reaction and appreciation for the fact that we understand how important this is for us, and the role that we play, and the work that we're going to continue to do in the Commonwealth countries."

The two-part series that the clip comes from was in production for over a year, and will reportedly feature appearances from other royals such as Prince Harry, Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The series is set to air in the UK on September 25, where Meghan is sure to divulge other details about the wedding and her new life in the royal family.
