With Stranger Things already being such a global phenomenon and cultural mainstay, it can often be easy to forget just how young the main cast actually is.

UK actress Millie Bobby Brown was just 12-years-old when the first series debuted on Netflix - going on to amazed the world in the role of the mind-bending Eleven. Fast-forward four years, and the young star is just 15 years old, and living a life most of us could only dream of.

Along with her newfound fame, Brown is now a regular feature on talk shows, at press events, and on the red carpet of some of the world's major award shows - most recently, the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Check out a Millie rapping during a Maroon 5 concert:

The teenage star looked stunning in a white Louis Vuitton outfit, and posed alongside her co-stars for several pictures throughout the event.

However, many people took to Twitter to slam Brown's look and stylists, saying that it was "inappropriate" for somebody of her age to look so mature.

Twitter user Miranda Priestly’s Hair typed: "Millie Bobby Brown is 15 years old. Everyone who is responsible for this look needs to get fired".

And a Twitter user with the handle Janelle Belgrave L.Ac wrote: "She looks like she could be Natalie Portman or Celine Dion. I don't see a 15 year old here. She looks like she's an adult cast member crashing the teen photo."

Another user, Colette Browne, wrote: "Millie Bobby Brown’s stylist should sacked. She is just 15-years-old but looked at least 30 at the Sag awards last night. So disturbing."

Millie recently showed off her incredible singing skills during a vacation to the Turks and Caicos Islands:

Fortunately, there were several people jumping to the defense of Brown:

Speaking about her outfit in an interview with People, Brown said: "It’s everything I kind of wanted I definitely wanted to go for a masculine, but very feminine look - and they got it right as per usual."

The teenager then revealed that her life has changed "drastically" since bagging the role of Eleven on the Netflix drama, explaining: "It’s changed drastically. It’s also been my forming years of being a teenager. I think I’m becoming stronger [...] It’s difficult because I’m still growing."
