Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced the launch of their own YouTube channel.

William, 38, and Kate, 39, wrote: "We're now on Youtube," in a tweet on Wednesday, May 5, alongside a link for their followers to subscribe.

The announcement was accompanied by a teaser video of what is to come, including footage of the couple completing royal duties and behind-the-scenes clips.

Naturally, the video began with one of William's dad jokes.

At the start of the video, William jokingly says to Kate: "By the way, you have to be careful what you say now because these guys they're filming everything," and she laughs and says: "I know."

Kate then tells William in a video filmed for St. Patrick's Day: "You don’t need to roll your 'r'."

Willam can be seen at another point in the YouTube video flying a helicopter and meeting wildlife legend David Attenborough; meanwhile, Kate is featured helping out on a farm.

The couple can also be seen at an awards ceremony on the red carpet and unleashing their inner bartenders by making cocktails behind a bar.

Per The Independent, the clip was viewed more than 8,000 times within 20 minutes of it being posted.

The announcement of the couple's YouTube channel comes after they recently gave a rare insight into their home life to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

They did so with a sweet video of their family which was posted to their social media accounts.

The video features the family walking up sand dunes and running around together happily.

At one point, Prince William jokingly pounces on Princess Charlotte out of some trees - leaving Prince Louis in stitches.

Prince George smiles as he holds his mother's hand as his two siblings run around.

Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte can also be seen playing together on a see-saw before the footage cuts to the young family climbing a tree and then roasting marshmallows.

Kate and Prince William captioned the video on social media: "Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary. We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family."
