The school district that suspended Noah Beck's mom over a 2020 TikTok video she filmed with her influencer son has now released its decision on her future at the school.
Amy Beck, a teacher at Coyote Hills Elementary School in Peoria, Arizona, was placed on paid administrative leave earlier this week after the resurfaced video, in which she and her then-18-year-old son appeared to mime an oral sex act, sparked a formal complaint and an internal investigation by the Peoria Unified School District.
Now, just days later, the district has announced its conclusion.
In a letter sent to families on Friday afternoon (May 1), Coyote Hills principal Julia Abbott confirmed that Amy Beck would be returning to the classroom on Monday (May 4).
"While we cannot discuss the specifics of her leave, please know that the district's investigation concluded that Mrs. Beck's actions outside of the workplace did not interfere with her ability to fulfill her teaching responsibilities," Abbott wrote, as reported by ABC15.
"Additionally, appropriate follow-up measures have been taken in accordance with Governing Board Policy."
Peoria Unified Chief Communications Officer Danielle Airey added in a statement to KTAR News that "the school and district have addressed concerns regarding videos that were published in 2020, appropriate measures have been taken and Mrs. Beck will transition back into the classroom on Monday, May 4."
Citing it as a personnel matter, the district said no further information would be shared.
The video at the centre of the controversy was originally posted by Noah, now 24, in April 2020, when he was around 18 years old and just starting out as an influencer.
In the clip, Amy and Noah are seen lip-syncing to Jay Rock's track 'King's Dead,' which contains explicit lyrics referencing oral sex. The pair appeared to act out the lyrics, with Noah seen pushing his mom's head down while both made exaggerated facial expressions.
It was part of a broader TikTok trend during the pandemic, in which a number of influencers filmed themselves lip-syncing and miming along to the same song. Noah deleted the clip from his account at the time, but it was reuploaded by other users and began circulating again in recent weeks.
According to reports, the resurfaced video prompted a formal complaint to the Peoria Unified School District and the State Board of Education on April 24, describing it as "highly inappropriate." Amy was placed on paid leave on April 28.
Throughout the leave, the district maintained that "this matter does not impact the safety of our students."
Neither Amy nor Noah has publicly addressed the situation.
The case has drawn far more attention than it might otherwise have done because of a separate and far more serious investigation involving Amy's eldest daughter, Haley Beck.
Haley, a former teacher at Centennial High School in the same district, was fired earlier this month following allegations that she had engaged in misconduct with a former student.
According to a statement of charges obtained by People magazine, the district conducted a "comprehensive internal investigation under the provisions of Title IX" and a "decision maker" found that she had "groomed a student, which resulted in her having a sexual relationship with that student and therefore recommended her termination."
The student in question was 18 at the time of the alleged exchanges, which reportedly included more than 4,000 messages between June and August 2025.
Haley has denied any wrongdoing. Her attorney, Matthew Long, said in a statement: "Ms. Beck respects the criminal justice process and looks forward to the conclusion of the investigation, which will reveal she committed no crimes."
The Peoria Police Department submitted charges to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, but the office sent the file back for further investigation, with a decision still pending.
It's important to stress that the two cases are entirely separate. Amy Beck's leave related to a 2020 TikTok video featuring her adult son. The investigation into Haley Beck involves a former student and is being reviewed by police and prosecutors.
For Amy, the matter now appears to be closed. She's expected back in front of her second-grade class on Monday morning.
