Was Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson playing a game to see just how many impressive things he could pack into one ridiculous headline?

Probably not, but when you've played The Mountain in the monumentally popular television series Game of Thrones, you're getting a new tattoo and you're bench pressing another human being at the same time, I think it's fair to say that you're not exactly doing things by half.

Björnsson is now well known not just for his acting chops in Thrones, but also for his strong man feats. The athlete did, after all, pull off a 1,041-pound deadlift to set a world record at the 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic.

Check out the awesome video of Björnsson bench pressing his wife while getting a tattoo:

As you will have noticed if you follow Björnsson on social media, he has made something of a habit of lifting his wife above his head.

Oh, and also Ed Sheeran.

In case you're interested in the new ink Björnsson was getting, he followed up the awesome video with a picture of a new tattoo, possibly the one he was getting done in the video.

Speaking about his workout regimen last year, he said;

"I train with heavyweights five times a week. I'm in the gym so often.

"But there's also a lot of other stuff I do outside of the gym. I do a lot of hot and cold treatments to make sure I stay injury-free, and so I can also train more often."

Game of Thrones may have now come to its end, but fans still have a wealth of material to look back on. They've got eight seasons of the show to enjoy all over again, new rumoured prequel series in the pipleline, and countless videos of The Mountain being a total legend on Instagram. It's almost like the show never ended, isn't it?
