In an outpouring of love and heartbreak, Euphoria star and Emmy-winning actress Zendaya has honored the life of her late castmate Angus Cloud.
The actor, best known for his portrayal of Fezco in the critically acclaimed HBO series, tragically passed away at just 25.
Cloud's family confirmed his passing, expressing their grief: "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.
"Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.
"Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence."
The family concluded their statement with a request for privacy: "We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss."
Cloud, who skyrocketed to fame with his portrayal of the character Fezco "Fez" O'Neill, acted alongside talents such as Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, and Alexa Demie in the Emmy-winning series.
The series granted Cloud a powerful platform to depict complex narratives surrounding mental health, a struggle he openly battled with off-screen as well.

Taking to Instagram, Zendaya shared a heartfelt tribute to Cloud: "Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor).
"I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it) I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…'they could light up any room they entered' but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it.
"I’d like to remember him that way. For all of the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment. My heart is with his mother and family at this time and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone."
Other Euphoria co-stars also expressed their sorrow at Cloud's passing. Kathrine Narducci, who played Cloud’s on-screen grandmother Marie O’Neill in Euphoria, described him as a "gentle beautiful soul" who "exited too soon" on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
One of the most interesting aspects of Cloud's journey to stardom was his entry into the acting world. Cloud had no acting experience prior to Euphoria. His life took a dramatic turn when casting scout Eléonore Hendricks spotted him on a New York street, leading to an audition with casting director Jennifer Venditti and series creator Sam Levinson.
Despite initial hesitations, Cloud accepted the role and the rest is history.
Cloud previously clarified that acting wasn't just about "being himself". In an interview with Variety, he said, "It does bother me when people are like, ‘It must be so easy! You get to go in and be yourself.’ I brought a lot to the character. You can believe what you want. It ain’t got nothing to do with me."
The third season of Euphoria is scheduled for a 2025 release.
