Dr. Dre has reportedly been served with divorce papers in a cemetery while he was burying his grandmother, TMZ reports.
The rap icon, real name Andre Young, is currently in the midst of a bitter divorce battle with his wife of 24 years Nicole Young.
Nicole last year filed for divorce and initially requested that he pay her $2 million per month, as well as covering her $5 million lawyer's fees, Page Six reported at the time.
More recently, the music mogul was ordered to pay seven figures in legal fees to his estranged wife, per Page Six.
In the order, the judge in the divorce case ruled this week that the rapper and Beats mogul should pay Nicole another $1.55 million in legal fees and costs - after already forking over $2 million.
Now, TMZ reports that a process server attempted to give him legal documents regarding money owed to Nicole while he was laying his grandmother to rest.
Sources close to the couple have opposing stories in where they claim the documents were served, with those on Dre's side saying they were given to him at the burial site.
Meanwhile, those connected to Nicole have said they were served in the cemetery's parking lot after the burial.
According to reports, the music producer has already paid $325,433 of a total of $1,550,000 ordered by the courts.
Dre reportedly claims that this figure is a mistake and that he has already paid the full fee owed.
However, Nicole maintains he still has an outstanding balance of a whopping $1,224,567, per Page Six.
The pair married back in 1996 and share two children, however, Nicole filed for divorce in early 2020, citing "irreconcilable differences".
She claims that the pair signed a prenup before their 1996 marriage, but the rapper went on to tear it up.
She said that Dr. Dre "felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me" and that the day it was torn up, they agreed that it was no longer valid.
However, he is now denying this and arguing that it should be enforced as the couple now divorces.
Rolling Stone reports that the rapper has put an unverified estimation of his own net worth at a billion.
