Conan O'Brien makes scathing diss at Timothée Chalamet during Oscars after his ballet comments
Conan O'Brien wasn't holding his punches when he made a major dig at actor Timothée Chalamet during his opening monologue.
During his opening speech, Conan zoned in on Marty Supreme star Timothée - who is nominated for Best Actor in tonight's ceremony - and his much-discussed comments on the state of ballet and opera in the modern-day.

In a recent interview, Timothée said that 'no-one cares' about ballet and opera, which has attracted widespread attention and has been widely derided by cultural commentators.
Speaking about Timothée's presence at tonight's ceremony, Conan said that 'security was tight' in the Dolby Theatre this evening, due to the 'ballet and opera communities.'
With a cheeky nod to Timothée, Conan went on to say: "They're just mad you left out jazz."
What did Timothée Chalamet say about ballet and opera?
Timothée's comments about the modern-day state of ballet and opera came about in an interview he did with trade magazine Variety, in conversation with fellow actor (and former Interstellar co-star) Matthew McConaughey.
"I don't want to be working in ballet or opera or things where it's like, 'Keep this thing alive even though no-one cares about this any more,'" he said in the clip.
"All respect to the ballet and opera people out there."
Timothée seemed like a good sport though, laughing off Conan's joke from his seats in the audience next to his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.

Timothée has previously been named as one of the frontrunners in the race for Best Actor, though betting has cooled in the wake of his controversial remarks.
He secured his third nomination for Best Actor for his work in sports drama Marty Supreme. He was previously nominated in 2018 for queer drama Call Me By Your Name and 2025's Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown.
His competition for Best Actor includes Michael B Jordan (Sinners), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon) and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).
