Jeremy Renner has given his first interview since an accident in which he was crushed by his snowplow left him with severe injuries in January, as he states that he would "do it again" to save his nephew.
Renner, 53, was hospitalized after attempting to stop his own snowplow from hitting his nephew while clearing the roads around his home in northern Nevada, per a sheriff's report.
As reported by CNN, the sheriff's office stated: "When Renner attempted to stop or divert the Pistenbully (snowplow) to avoid injury to [his nephew], he was pulled under the vehicle by the track and run over. The Pistenbully rolled over him and continued down the road."
Fans were left concerned for the Marvel star as he was reported to be in a "critical but stable" condition following the accident on New Year's Day, with the actor later revealing that he had broken more than 30 bones in his body.
In a trailer for his interview with Diane Sawyer, Renner explains that he wouldn't hesitate to rescue his nephew again, with his nephew also telling his story.

When the list of his injuries is presented to him by Sawyer, Renner admits that he didn't know how he would look following the accident.
He stated that he was unsure if he would look like a "science experiment" after making a recovery.
When questioned about whether he would put himself between his nephew and the snow plow again, Renner replies that he would "do it again" without any hesitation.
It seems as though the interview will be an emotional watch, as the actor shed a few tears while discussing how his family reacted to his injuries, and how he had to inform them he was sorry using sign language.
Speaking to Radar Online, a source close to Renner told the outlet that his injuries are "much worse than anyone knows" and that the actor is "very aware of the fact that he almost died out there."
"The right side of Jeremy’s chest was crushed, and his upper torso had collapsed. He also had a bad head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury," they continued. "He knew he was in bad shape and that he might not make it out of this."
Luckily, Renner is in remarkable shape even with the injuries he sustained and has been using an anti-gravity treadmill to help his legs recover.

Captioning a clip of him using the machine on Instagram, Renner penned: "I now have to find OTHER things to occupy my time so my body can recover from my will. #minduful #intended #recovery."
The machine allows users to move without putting their full weight on their legs, and the unnamed acquaintance aiding the actor explained that he was using "40% of his weight".
The interview airs on ABC on April 6.
