Riley Keough has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late mother Lisa Marie Presley on the first Mother’s Day since her passing.

As previously reported, the 54-year-old daughter of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley passed away on January 12 after going into cardiac arrest.

Her housekeeper found her unresponsive in her bedroom before her ex-husband Danny Keough administered CPR until paramedics arrived on the scene.

A week after her death, Lisa Marie was buried at her father's estate, Graceland, in Memphis - alongside him, her son Benjamin (who died by suicide in 2020 aged 27), her paternal grandparents, and her paternal great-grandmother.

Presley left behind three daughters: 33-year-old Riley Keough and 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley Lockwood.

As Sunday (May 14) marked Mother’s Day, the Daisy Jones and the Six actress took to her Instagram to remember her "deeply loving" mother.

Keough shared a picture of her parents as they posed alongside her as a newborn, and captioned the post: "Lucky to have had the best and most deeply loving mama I could have asked for."

The actress's followers flooded the comment section with words of support. One fan penned: "Riley, Sending so much love to you Harper and Finley today. Praying the legacy of her love will be with you girls every day of your lives. You are such a strong, beautiful young woman and I admire you! Happy Mother's Day too you." (sic)

Another user wrote: "Thinking of you and your Sisters today Riley.. Sending so much love to all of you," while a third added: "Your mom is with you and your sisters always Riley. Watching over you with [love]. Sending my thoughts and prayers to you and your family."

Celebrities like Naomi Campbell and singer Austin Brown replied to the loving tribute with red heart emojis.

Presley’s sudden death came days after her final public appearance at the 2023 Golden Globes - where Austin Butler received the best actor award for his portrayal of Elvis in the recent Baz Luhrmann biopic about the singer.

At the 'Lights Out' singer's funeral, Keough's husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, revealed during an emotional speech that Presley became a grandmother just before she died.

Keough has been married to Smith-Petersen since 2015 and he spoke on her behalf at the memorial. He addressed everyone in the audience with a speech titled "A Letter to My Mama" penned by his wife.

"I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters. Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity," he said.

"I'm a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart," Smith-Petersen said of his mother-in-law, reading the words written by his wife.
