Fans think Katy Perry just gave away true reason for break-up from Orlando Bloom

Fans think that Katy Perry might have just revealed the real reason that she split up with Orlando Bloom through the lyrics of a song.

The 41-year-old singer has just released a single called Bandaids, and let’s just say that there are some pretty thinly veiled references in there.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were together for almost a decade

The American singer and her British actor ex-husband were together for years, but that all came to an end recently.

Now, in her new single, it seems as if Perry has decided to use her creativity as an outlet and air some of the problems in public.

Both the video and the lyrics allude to the end of the marriage, and it seems as if the implication is that Perry and Bloom tried to make it work, but ultimately failed.

The lyrics read: “Hand to God, I promise I tried / There’s no stone left unturned,

“It’s not what you did / It’s what you didn’t / You were there, but you weren’t.”

The lyrics continue: “Got so used to you letting me down / No use tryna send flowers now,

“Telling myself you’ll change, you don’t / Band-Aids over a broken heart.”

Then, in the second verse, Perry adds: “Tried all the medications / Lowered my expectations,“Made every justification / Bleeding out, bleeding out, bleeding out slow.

“It’s not that complicated / To ask me how my day is,

“I’m flatlining trying to save this.”

It wasn’t all bad, though

There is a positive note to some of the lyrics, as Perry makes a reference to ‘good times’ that the pair shared together, and at one stages admits she would ‘do it all over again’.

While Bloom is never mentioned by name, it would be strange if she was singing about anyone else.

She also makes reference to the daughter she shares with the 48-year-old, as a daisy can be seen on screen when she sings about how everything was ‘worth it at the end’.

No prizes for guessing what that daughter is called.

There’s one final metaphor elsewhere in the song, as the video shows Perry dropping her ring down the drain, then attempting to fish it out while washing dishes.

However, the garbage disposal goes off, leaving her pouring with blood.

That could be a coded reference to a bizarre interview that Perry once gave where she revealed that she would offer up oral sex to Bloom as a sort of prize for doing the dishes.

On podcast Call Me Daddy, she said: “So it’s like, if I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done it all, and you’ve done all the dishes, and you’ve closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d**k sucked,

“I mean, literally. That is my love language,

“I don’t need a red Ferrari! I can buy a red Ferrari. Just do the f***ing dishes! I will suck your d**k! It’s that easy.”

Let’s hope that garbage disposal never got involved, for everyone’s sake.

Nowadays, Perry appears to have moved on and is in a relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and has been the subject of some strange speculation from music producer Diplo.

There’s never a dull moment in the Perry household, that’s for sure.
