It's the moment Swifties have been waiting for.
Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have reportedly broken up after a seemingly brief fling over the past few weeks.
TMZ reported that the pair have called it quits thanks to a "close friend" who is aware of the situation stating that Swift is now "single again."
Though the outlet reported that it was "still unclear" why the pair parted ways, Entertainment Tonight emphasized that the two realized that they were "not really compatible with each other."
A source confirmed the news on Monday saying: "Taylor and Matty broke up. They are both extremely busy and realized they’re not really compatible with each other.
"Taylor’s friends want what’s best for her and aren’t shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship," they added, referring to her recent split from British actor Joe Alwyn after six years.
Swift's split from Alwyn was made public on April 8, just two weeks before she was first spotted with Healy, with sources telling ET that the pair "had grown apart."
"The relationship had just run its course," they told the outlet. "It's why [Alwyn] hasn't been spotted at any shows.
"They simply grew apart and plan to remain friends," they added.
It wasn't long before the 'Shake It Off' singer allegedly embarked on a short-lived fling with the 1975 frontman.
The pair were first linked when fans started noticing that he was attending one too many of the 33-year-old's concerts during her Eras tour last month.
Then from there, their brief interactions became intimate dates, with the pair holding hands and sharing pecks in front of the paparazzi.
Of course, fans weren't happy about the news at the time, given Healy's controversial past - and present, it seems.
The 34-year-old has been slammed for racist, misogynistic, and wildly insensitive comments he's made, which seems to have really agitated Swifties, but don't worry, peace has now been restored thanks to the news of the sudden split.
"Swifties when taylor and joe broke up vs when taylor and matty broke up," wrote one user, also including images of her feelings.
"TAYLOR AND MATTY BROKE UP EVERYBODY PARTY," added another.
A third also compared the reactions from fans when it came to Alwyn versus Healy: "I love how when they posted about taylor and joe breaking up we were like 'they don’t know anything! they’re lying! fake news!' but when they tweet about taylor and matty breaking up its like 'HELL YEAH B***H SPREAD THE NEWS CELEBRATION!!!!!'"
For her part, Swift appeared to be emotional during a recent performance - which fans initially thought was related to her split from Alwyn - but may well have been a precursor to the news of her most recent split instead.
