Tim Allen's co-star on Home Improvement has shed some light on the viral clip that appears to show him flashing her while on set.

The clip surfaced after Pamela Anderson opened up in her new book Love, Pamela about how Allen allegedly flashed her on the set when she was 23 years old - claims the actor has strongly denied.

Anderson worked on Home Improvement between 1991 and 1993 before she moved on to focus solely on Baywatch, which made her a global star.

Following the accusations against him, a clip of Allen appearing to flash his co-star Patricia Richardson went viral, but the actress has now clarified the situation.

The clip shows the pair, who played husband and wife, on set when Richardson referred to the kilt Allen was wearing, saying: "Hangs long, I just wish it was shorter," which gained a big laugh from the studio audience.

A larger laugh came afterward when the Santa Clause actor saw this as his time to shine and lifted up the kilt much to the shock of his co-star.

However, it would appear that the moment was completely innocent and a joke that was shared by both of the stars.

Speaking to TMZ, Richardson said: "People ask me what was under the kilt when he flashed me, he was well dressed under there, I was just shocked that he lifted the kilt, not by a man in boxer shorts."

This is in contrast to Anderson's claims, where in her book, as obtained by Variety, she claims that Allen's behavior was inappropriate.

The 55-year-old said: "On the first day of filming [Home Improvement], I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly - completely naked underneath.

"He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably."

Allen strongly denied these claims, telling Variety in a statement: "No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing."

Anderson's memoirs hit shelves on January 31, the same day as the Netflix documentary Pamela, A Love Story, where she delves into her past relationships, sexual assault she has faced, and her thoughts on the series Pam & Tommy.

During the documentary, she claims that Sylvester Stallone offered her a condo and a Porsche to be his "number one girl," which the Rocky star also strongly denies.
