Earlier this month, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson revealed that they had been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
Wilson then took to Twitter to ask for suggestions for a quarantine playlist while others speculated that the Simpsons had once again predicted the future and Hanks falling ill with COVID-19.
Thankfully, the beloved acting duo, both 63, were released from a hospital in Australia late last week after keeping fans up-to-date on their recovery.
Now, Rita Wilson has taken the unusual step of giving her phone number to her 971K "stir crazy" Instagram followers.
Listen to her make the announcement in the video below:She captioned the video: "Going stir crazy? Have a suggestion for my Quarantunes playlist? TEXT ME! (310) 299-9260 - I'm giving you my phone number!! And YES... It's actually me.
"Text me so I can let you know what I'm up to, when I'm in your city (once we can leave our houses), and so we can stay in touch. I mean, not ACTUALLY touch. Social distancing works!"
Since posting the video, it has been viewed over 317K times at the time of writing, and its comments section has been inundated with messages with fans, many of whom had tried and failed to call Wilson.
One wrote: "I can't text you. I live in Germany ?"

A second similarly wrote: "Hey Rita, just tried to call you, didn't work! I'm on the GC "

A third wrote: "She's not personally texting you back. It's automated. Be smart ppl lol."

Meanwhile, a fourth, like many others, simply wished Wilson and Hanks a speedy recovery, writing: "What a phenomenal human being you are! Hope you are both feeling better. @ritawilson"

With that in mind, presumably, the number has been inundated with messages.
This news comes as John Hopkins University reports that there have been a total of 382,644 confirmed cases of COVID-19 globally and 16,587 deaths at the time of writing.
It also comes a day after Tom Hanks announced that he was "feeling better" and urged fans to self isolate.
