Johnny Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez has taken center stage amid the trial and is garnering a mass fan following on social media.
According to The New York Post, 37-year-old Vasquez is an associate at the high-profile law firm Brown Rudnick, which is representing Depp in his $50 million defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Heard.
She is one of the many members of his legal team and is an associate of the firm representing him.
Vasquez is based in the Orange County, California office. According to her firm's website, she specializes in litigation and arbitration. Her focus is on plaintiff-side defamation cases which is similar to the case Depp has brought against Heard over her 2018 Washington Post op-ed.
The lawyer speaks Spanish, graduated from Southwestern Law School in 2010 and the University of Southern California in 2006 magna cum laude, and was designated as a "One to Watch" by The Best Lawyers in America for 2021-2022.
Vasquez has been present throughout the trial and has questioned witnesses, but she has found herself at the center of attention after videos of her cross-examination with the Aquaman actress went viral online.

In the clip, Vasquez said to Heard: "You’re the one who assaulted someone with a bottle in Australia, isn’t that right, Ms. Heard?" She then asked her: "You weren’t scared of him at all, were you?"
That courtroom clip is one of the many videos dedicated to Vasquez to go viral on the social media platform. Videos with the "Camille Vasquez" hashtag have a collective 747.5 million views.
Fans of the Fantastic Beasts star are also praising her on Twitter. One user's tweet showing appreciation for her amassed 15.9K likes. They wrote: "I am still a Johnny Depp fan, but I am ALSO now a die-hard Camille Vasquez fan #IStandWithJohnyDepp."
The 58-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star is suing The Pineapple Express actress for $50 million after an op-ed published in the Washington Post in 2018 identified her as a victim of domestic abuse.
Depp claims that he was the real victim of the marriage and that the actress' allegations ruined his career and reputation. Heard is countersuing him for $100 million, having testified about multiple incidents when the actor allegedly physically and sexually assaulted her.
