A flight attendant has become a TikTok revelation for revealing fascinating behind-the-scenes tidbits and secrets of what life is really like up at 30,000 feet.
And in a recent interview with In The Know, Sandra Jeenie Kwon has been discussing the common misconceptions that people have about what it's like to be a flight attendant.
"Most people when they see flight attendants think of this job as a glamorous jet setter and believe all we do is greet and serve passengers food and drinks,” she told the publication. “This is honestly what I thought, too, before I became cabin crew.”
These flight attendants were praised for their uplifting announcement during the pandemic:

Of course, like any job, being a flight attendant is not always fun, but the many stories, inside tidbits and revelations that Kwon has taken away from her time working for Emirates Airline have added up to some excellent TikTok content that has helped her net more than 3.7 million followers on the video-sharing platform.
“The training involved, the work we actually do, all the Karens and Chads we need to service — people find that fascinating,” she told In The Know.
As well as sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses into the lives of flight attendents, Kwon also reveals insider tips that may help change the way you go about your travelling.
In a recent TikTok video that formed part of her “travel tips you might not know about” series, Kwon explained why travelers in the United States should never accept an airline voucher if they get bumped from a flight due to overbooking.

“Not only are the airlines required to find you an alternative flight, but depending on the length of the delay, you are entitled to cash!” She revealed in the clip, which has since gone viral.
This tip might be common knowledge to seasoned travelers and industry experts, but if you weren't aware of it yourself it could be the difference between a $150 flight voucher and $1,350 cash.

Meanwhile, another flight attendant previously revealed why no one who sees behins-the-scenes scenes will ever order a warm drink on a plane. She made the revelation in an interview with Inside Edition, and to be honest, it's enough to put you off flying for life!
She said the pipes used to distribute the water in coffee and tea aren't cleaned very often.
In addition to this, even if you want a soft drink instead, you should avoid Diet Coke because, for some bizarre reason, at a high altitude, it takes a lot longer to pour than other drinks. The more you know, eh?
