Kanye West shocked the world when he tweeted he loved Donald Trump, a man accused of racism, sexism, pathological lying, a lack of empathy and having a weird-looking dong. How could Kanye, a supposed man of the people, support a president whose policies only seem to benefit the 1%? How could the guy who said "George Bush doesn't care about black people" say 400 years of slavery "sounded like a choice"? Hip-hop fans were outraged! That is, until Yeezy dropped his new album. That was dope, so they bumped it. But deep down, still outraged!
In interviews with Charlemagne, Kimmel, and Chicago's 107.5, Kanye tried to clarify his words. He apologized for his slavery comment, and said he doesn't love President Trump because of his policies. He loves Trump because of his personality, his "dragon energy", the fact that such a provocateur became president. Also, black people aren't monolithic; they don't have to be Democrats; they can be Republicans; be a free thinker! I'm not sure how it's "free thinking" to passionately support a controversial politician, while not being aware of their policies, but whatever. Still here for the music!
Kanye's walked back his most controversial remarks, but his stubborn Trump support continues to make waves in the industry. During a Siriux XM interview, Snoop Dogg was asked about politics, and went on a vulgar rant, slamming Kanye and "racist" Trump. The 46-year-old rapper is usually so chill, making funky party songs and that charming cooking show with Martha Stewart. Not in this interview. Thanks a lot, Yeezy and Donald - you broke Snoop Dogg!
Speaking about Mr. West, Snoop said, "Well you need to know that a lot of your fans is racist. Ain't no f*cking way around it. I tell 'em straight up muthaf*cker. If you like that n**** [Trump] you muthaf*cken racist. F*ck you and f*ck him. Now what? N**** he drew the lines. He drew the muthaf*ckin’ lines. Before him there were no lines."
The Doggystyle rapper believes that since Trump took office, racism has become a bigger problem: "[Before 2017] everybody was everybody, we respected every thing, we didn't trip, but n**** when you drew the line and start pointing muthaf*cker out and singling them out n*** f*ck y’all then n****. You and them. Kanye too. Don't forget about him too. F*** you too. Throw him in the bag, 'cause he right there with the muthaf*cker."

Snoop's no stranger to criticizing Trump. Last November, he released the Make America Crip Again EP, which featured him standing over Trump's dead body on the cover. Before that, he made the music video for Lavender (Nightfall Remix), which featured a clown dressed as Donald Trump getting shot. However, he strongly defended his art to Billboard magazine:
"The ban that this motherf*ckr tried to put up; him winning the presidency; police being able to kill motherf*ckers and get away with it; people being in jail for weed for 20, 30 years and motherf*cker that’s not black on the streets making money off of it; but if you got color or ethnicity connected to your name, you’ve been wrongfully accused or locked up for it, and then you watching people not of color position themselves to get millions and billions off of it."
So, to summarize, Snoop Dogg and Kanye West probably won't be collaborating any time soon. Sad!

Guys, it looks like Kanye West might finally have reached his peak.
This weekend, the rapper appeared on Saturday Night Live dressed as a man-sized Perrier bottle. And, surprisingly, that turned out to be the most normal thing about his performance.
At the end of the evening, after he had performed, Kanye went on an impromptu rant in which he declared that his name was now "Ye", that he was going to run for president in 2020, and that he had been "bullied" backstage for wearing his MAGA hat. He also made several comments about racism and the fact that lots of people had tried to dissuade him from supporting Donald Trump, but made it clear that he had no intention of doing so.
The scenes did not end up airing on SNL, but many people in the audience managed to record snippets from West's (sorry - Ye's) strange political rant.

"So many times I talk to a white person and [they] say, 'How could you like Trump, he's racist?'" he said at one point. "Well, if I was concerned about racism I would've moved out of America a long time ago."
He later went on to share a picture of himself wearing his MAGA hat, saying:
"This represents good and America becoming whole again. We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment.
"Message sent with love."
For context, the 13th Amendment abolished slavery and involuntary servitude.

In response, Lana Del Rey left a long comment on his Instagram post. She said:
"Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture.
"I can only assume you relate to his personality on some level. Delusions of grandeur, extreme issues with narcissism - none of which would be a talking point if we weren't speaking about the man leading our country.
"If you think it's alright to support someone who believes it's OK to grab a woman by the p***y just because he's famous - then you need an intervention just as much as he does - something so many narcissists will never get because there just isn't enough help for the issue.
"Message sent with concern that will never be addressed."
And she wasn't the only celebrity to make her opinions known, either.

Chris Evans also responded to Ye's bizarre declaration that he wanted to see an end to the 13th Amendment, calling his ignorance "maddening".
"There’s nothing more maddening than debating someone who doesn’t know history, doesn’t read books, and frames their myopia as virtue," he wrote. "The level of unapologetic conjecture I’ve encountered lately isn’t just frustrating, it’s retrogressive, unprecedented and absolutely terrifying."

It's been clear for a long time now that Kanye's political opinions differ wildly from many other celebrities and Hollywood personalities, but that doesn't seemed to have stopped him from sharing them. And, at this point, it's beginning to look like nothing will ever change his mind.

On Monday night, rapper Lil Pump stood alongside President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Per The Independent, the 20-year-old rapper took to the stage and said he "appreciates" what President Trump has done during his first term, specifically saying that the POTUS "brought the troops home" and is "doing the right thing" for the US.

However, not everybody was pleased with the young star's vocal backing of Trump, 74.
For example, supermodel Bella Hadid blasted Lil Pump after the rapper shared a picture of himself surrounded by four women and posing in front of a giant red "Trump" flag on his Instagram account.

Sharing Pump's image to her own Instagram Stories, Hadid wrote to her 35 million followers: "This is so irresponsible. This kid is a loser.
"Anwys, I'm going to Mars, you guys want anything? [sic]"
Now, Lil Pump has spoken to TMZ about the fallout from his appearance with Trump.
Answering questions as he was pulling up to Trump's Washington D.C. hotel earlier today (November 3), the rapper was asked about the response he was getting from Republicans in response to his endorsing of the President.

"Amazing, a lot of love," Pump replied, before being asked how the hip-hop community had responded, to which the rapper said:
"A lot of people are saying a lot of negative stuff - but I don't pay attention to that. None of it! I don't care about that, y'know?
And when asked if there would be "politics in his future," Lil Pump responds with a quietly confident: "Yeah, sure."
When asked what advice he would give to other rappers, Pump brazenly replied: "Trump 20202020!"
And as the rapper was driving away, the interviewer asked how he would feel about Trump losing, to which the rapper replied: "He's not losing!"
However, Lil Pump must have been left a little red-faced after Trump accidentally introduced him as "Lil Pimp":

Taylor Swift appears to disapprove of her music being linked to the Republican Party, namely the leader of said party: President Donald Trump.
In fact, on Wednesday (September 23), the Instagram account @teamtrump, which is the president's official campaign page on the social media platform, shared a post that included the pop megastar's song 'Father Figure'.
However, Swift appears to have formally requested the track's removal from the post, as it is now muted, with a message stating: "This song can't be played because it's currently unavailable."
Included in the post was an image of Trump smiling on a CD cover with the words "Zer(illegals) have crossed our borders in 16+ months" written on it.
The caption read: "And, baby, that’s sh0w business for y0u. 🫡"
The removal of the song has caused a real stir among fans, with one person responding, "As she should, they so desperately want attention and for Taylor to respond."
Another wrote: "Never the hugest TS music fan - but respect how she gets s**t done."
A third penned: "Why does he keep doing things like that? He’s so obsessed with her."
A fourth added: "Oh ffs they are ridiculous, constantly using her for engagement."
The Swifties believe that the US leader's team are doing their best to take advantage of the artist's stardom - particularly with the upcoming release of her latest music video.
Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell were cast in the visuals for Swift's single 'Patient Zero'.
Taking to Instagram, the 'All Too Well' singer posted a short preview for the music video.
'Patient Zero' will officially debut at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday.
Trump appears to have mixed views on Swift. In 2012, he said he liked her before making a U-turn six years later when Swift encouraged her fans to vote against Republican Marsha Blackburn during the Tennessee midterm race. At the time, Swift referred to Blackburn as "Trump in a wig".
Trump responded by telling White House reporters, "I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now."
Things turned from bad to worse when Swift opted to endorse his political opponent, former Vice President Kamala Harris.
