Aaron Carter's fiancée, Melanie Martin, paid tribute to the late singer in two emotional posts dedicated to their son on his first birthday.
Posting to Instagram, the 30-year-old celebrated little Prince turning one after what has been an extremely difficult month for the family.
Carter tragically passed away on November 5. It was reported by TMZ that his housekeeper found him in his bathtub before alerting the emergency services.
The outlet also added that authorities believed that his body was in the tub for a long time as "there was a smell of decomposition and the water had turned an unnatural color."
While his official cause of death has not yet been released, law enforcement sources told TMZ that there were "multiple cans of compressed air in Aaron's bathroom and bedroom, as well as prescription pills."
The circumstances have only been made more difficult as the family celebrates Carter's son's first birthday without him.
In a series of posts published to Instagram, Martin described the day as a "tough one."
"Happy birthday to my baby boy Prince Lyric Carter," she captioned a short montage of photos of the father and son. "Today is going to be a tough one for me but I know your daddy is playing birthday songs for you up in heaven I love you baby boy!!!"
In another post published on Wednesday, the model shared a video of a tribute billboard in Times Square in New York which had an edited snapshot of Carter and Prince.
"Words can’t explain how I feel rn thank you for all the love and support," Martin told fans. "I ask everyone to keep a positive attitude take a moment light a candle... and play your favorite song by Aaron Carter!"
"We all appreciate you so much!" She concluded.
The news comes just shortly after the mom-of-one published a scathing rant aimed at Carter's manager, Taylor Helgeson.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram Stories, the 30-year-old accused Helgeson of "enabling, overworking, and using" the late singer which, according to her, had a negative effect on him and their romantic relationship.
"I haven't spoke out but I feel the need to now. This man did nothing to help Aaron. He enabled him so much," she wrote, per Just Jared. "All he did was put a wedge between Aaron and I for the party to start. I was even thrown off the tour bus by this man!!"
"He overworked him when he was not well. He used him in life and now he's still getting paid for interviews! This man wanted to get Aaron's career back but this wasn't the time to do so. Aaron needed help and needed rehab to be sober before he could revive his career."
She also added that she was "sick of people coming out of the woodwork now with false narratives to look like the hero."
"I know I can't bring back Aaron but I will always make sure the truth is spoken! I'll protect Aaron for the rest of my life," she concluded.
Retaliating in his own statement, the manager branded Martin's accusations "false" and claimed that he had to remove her from Carter's tour bus once due to her "erratic behavior."
