Jeremy Renner has taken to social media to share a video from his ICU hospital bed - just days after a horrific snow plow incident.
As previously reported, the 51-year-old Hawkeye star was left in a "critical but stable condition" earlier this week after he attempted to assist the locals near his home in Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, Nevada.
The town had been hit by a heavy snowfall over the New Year's weekend, and Renner - being a lover of heavy machinery - opted to use one of his personal snow plows in order to help a stranded motorist, per Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve.
Now, Renner has taken to Twitter to share an optimistic video from his hospital bed in the intensive care unit.
Writing to his 5.9 million followers, Renner said: "A 'not no great' ICU DAY, turned to amazing spa day with my sis and mama. Thank you sooooo much".
The Marvel star also included a video showing him smiling as his was joined by his mom and sister - with the latter massaging the actor's scalp.
Check out the touching clip below:The video shows the Avenger looking pretty worse for wear, but it's amazing to see him joking and smiling with his family.
According to recent reports, local authorities confirmed that the 51-year-old actor was "run over" by an "extremely large piece of snow removal equipment" weighing "at least 14,330 pounds."
During a press conference on Tuesday (January 3), Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said that Renner's "PistenBully got stuck" and even though the Marvel star was successful in getting it moving again, it "started to roll" while he was having a conversation "with a family member."
"In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempt[ed] to get back into the driver’s seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it’s at this point that Mr. Renner [was] run over," Balaam said.
The sheriff then noted that though the accident was "tragic", no foul play was suspected.
In a previous post share to his Instagram page, Renner shared a selfie of his facial injuries and captioned the post: "Thank you all for your kind words," he wrote, adding a prayer hand emoji. "I'm too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all."
After news of Renner's condition hit headlines, Mayor Schieve revealed that she had received a call soon after the accident had happened as she and Renner are friends. She later told the Reno-Gazette Journal that Renner is "always helping others."
She went on to explain that the actor often helps the community and that he donates to multiple charities without ever publicizing what he is up to.
We will Renner the very best on his recovery journey.
