Liam Neeson's son has broken his silence on his dad's rumoured romance with Pamela Anderson.
It's been speculated for weeks that Naked Gun co-stars Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson may be more than just on-screen partners.
While neither star has confirmed the relationship outright, their chemistry, affectionate red carpet appearances, and praise for each other in interviews have sparked growing buzz about a real-life romance.
And over the weekend, Neeson’s 28-year-old son Daniel Jack Neeson gave the rumored couple his blessing.
The post, which was shared August 1, shows the 58-year-old former Playboy grinning as the Taken star, 73, jokingly dumps popcorn on her head.
She captioned the post: “The Naked Gun is finally in theatres! Bring your friends, family, lovers… whoever… just go and have a laugh… It’s good for you! I’ll see you there."
Daniel took to the comment section to share a flurry of emojis: raised hands, flames, hearts, and a water pistol.
The 28-year-old's aunt, Joely Richardson, sister to Neeson’s late wife Natasha Richardson, also chimed in with seven red heart emojis, adding to the chorus of support.
Jamie Lee Curtis, who worked with Anderson on their Golden Globe-nominated film The Last Showgirl, also weighed in with a blunt yet heartfelt message to the public.
“With all due respect to pop culture, if love has found [its] way into that relationship - God bless them both - leave them the f*** alone,” she told VT on August 4. “Let them like each other.”
Holding back tears, she added: “If they actually have found an intimate love with each other, we should all go to bed tonight feeling better.”
The Freakier Friday star praised the Baywatch star, calling her “a beautiful human being” and “fantastic,” and also reflected on Neeson’s personal loss, the tragic 2009 death of Natasha Richardson following a skiing accident.
She called it “an unimaginable loss so young” that marked years of hardship for the Irish star.
Anderson, who has been married five times, and Neeson, who’s been publicly single since a brief relationship ended in 2012, have leaned into the rumours.
The Bard Wire actress' son, Brandon, has also commented on the pair's dynamic: “I just think they’re such great co-stars. I think [chemistry] is part of that, right? I think they have such a great onscreen chemistry that it really, you know, means it’s well done," per Metro.
That sentiment is shared by Bravo host Andy Cohen, a close friend of the late Natasha. “She is a formidable human being, Pamela Anderson,” Cohen said on SiriusXM. “She has her own thing going on. She has two boys. I mean, this just works.”
The love appears mutual as Neeson previously told PEOPLE: “With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her… She’s just terrific to work with. She’s funny and so easy to work with.” Anderson has said they share a “very sincere, very loving” connection, telling Today, “I have a friend forever”.
