The prices of drinks at the Las Vegas Sphere have left people's eyes watering and presumably questioning visiting the venue.

For anybody who hasn't seen it on social media yet, The Sphere is an incredible venue that is quite the sight to behold whether you're inside or outside.

The venue recently had U2 feature and it seems like fans were incredibly excited to be there - though given the prices of a drink, they probably weren't drunk.

While it's not uncommon for a high-end venue to charge a premium for beverages, the costs at The Sphere have left many patrons astonished. The enclosed space restricts options for thirsty concert-goers, and quenching your thirst could come at a steep price.

An image of the venue's drink menu has sent shockwaves across Reddit, with the cheapest option, a simple bottle of water, commanding a hefty price tag of $7.

The shock doesn't stop there. Prices continue to soar as you peruse the menu. A 'souvenir soda' will set you back $14, while a single serving of 'premium liquor' costs $15.

For those craving a beer, be prepared to part with as much as $19. And if you're feeling fancy and opt for the 'Deluxe' or 'Ultra' liquor options, you'll be shelling out up to $19 for a single measure - and double that for a double.

This is certainly not the place for budget-conscious boozers looking for $1 drinks.

A margarita, Paloma, or even a glass of wine will dent your wallet to the tune of $20. The 'Speciality Cocktail,' featuring Jameson, peach, and ginger, comes at an astonishing $30.

People on the Reddit forum couldn't help but offer their thoughts on the matter, as one person penned: "Holy f***ing hell. This should be illegal. And it changes my perspective on the whole venue."

A second offered a different insight: "Not that it helps, but the $7 water comes in a refillable aluminum bottle with Sphere branding. And at least when I bought one, it was SO cold."

A third person said: "Actually cheaper than what I thought but still gouging nonetheless."

Given that The Sphere came with a staggering $2 billion price tag for construction, it's not entirely unexpected that vendors are looking to recoup their investment through the sale of pricey drinks.

The capacity of the venue is 18,000 - so you best get buying those drinks so the venue is profitable!

Regardless of the drinks prices, it looks like an incredible venue.
