A mom was left heartbroken after she read her eight-year-old daughter's Christmas list request.
Posting to TikTok, Suzy Boliver shared her daughter's festive list in the hopes that it would raise awareness about the difficulties some children face at school.
"When you get your eight-year-old daughter’s Christmas list," Boilver wrote in a textbox over her video. "When I say my heart sank."
At first, her list appears to be pretty normal and contains items that every eight-year-old girl would seem to want, including Squishmellow toys, a pink iPad mini, and colorful new pencils.
But as you get lower and lower, something seems off.
Instead of completing her list with more items, the little girl wrote that this Christmas she'd like "more friends" and "less bullying" as her final two requests.
"I wasn’t going to post this," she captioned the short video. "But you know what... this is being 8 years old in 2022 and maybe we should be talking about it."
Watch the full video below:Along with the mom-of-two, social media users were also left heartbroken about the list.
"That broke my heart," wrote one user.
"Mom, your little girl is an angel who no one should bully. Please hug her for as long as you can and tell her she's amazing," added another.
Others recalled their own personal experiences too.
"My 9yo wrote this year 'To be pretty', I have no words for the sadness," wrote one user while another said: "I still have so much lingering trauma from being bullied as a child. Some teachers joined in. Happened to one of my daughters too! Life is hard."
While some also offered the heartbroken mother some advice, a few social media users went one step further and asked if they could send the little girl some gifts to cheer her up.
"You should set up a PO Box so we can send her postcards from friends around the country. I’d send her one from Oregon!"
"Any kind of squishmallow in particular she is looking for?" Another user asked. "I have some to give away and would love to send some her way."
Boliver later told her followers that she would be getting her daughter into martial arts in order to help her gain the confidence she needs to stand up to anyone who bullies her in the future.
We hope the youngster's wishes come true this Christmas!

A mom has shared her heartbreak after no one turned up to her son's 6th birthday party.
Taking to TikTok, mom @dawners86 shared a video of the bash she threw for her son JJ , which began by showing all of the untouched cakes and party favors she'd arranged for the event.
As she filmed the empty birthday party, she said: "So we're sitting at the park for JJ's birthday party, we got everything ready, his party started half an hour ago.
"He had literally zero people show up for his birthday. My poor little man."
Watch the heartbreaking TikTok below:In a caption, she added: "Out of 22 invites... no one came... I know it's a pandemic, but it is a park, and we have reopened in my province."
The woman then films a young boy in the distance, who we can only assume is JJ, playing alone.
The clip did not go unnoticed on social media as it received almost 483K likes and thousands of comments, at the time of writing.
The video was met with much solidarity from TikTok users in the comments section who shared their similar experiences of people not turning up to birthday parties. Some even asked for JJ's address so that they could send him presents to make up for the snub.
One sympathetic TikTok user wrote: "This happened with my son's eighth birthday party. I'm so sorry. I lied and told him that I must not have put stamps on the invitations."
A second added: "My mamma heart just broke. I have questions, what is he into right now? where can I send him gifts? I am dead serious [sic]."
A third wrote: "This is why we ALWAYS show. No matter what, my girl is there with a gift and a smile."
A fourth revealed: "Hi. I was that kid a LONG time ago. It was tough but as an adult, I'm happy, married & successful. Superheroes need sad backstories."
Meanwhile, a fifth wrote: "Don't worry the 175,000 of us who liked the video showed up [sic]."
Hopefully, the outpouring of support on TikTok will show JJ and his mom that he is very much loved and encourage other parents to always take their kids to parties!

A mom from Utah was left devastated after claiming to have invited 27 children to her daughter's birthday party... only for none of them to show up on the day.
Breanna Strong, from Salk Lake City, had booked an entire indoor play area and ordered pizza and a Frozen cake for little Avery's third birthday. But when no one turned up for the celebration, she says she was forced to throw it all in the trash.
In a video posted to TikTok, the heartbroken mom posted snippets of the setup, as well as a clip of her daughter sitting by herself eating a slice of pizza.
"Money and time wasted," read one of the captions while another stated that she was going home to "snuggle [her] babies."
Check out the mom's video below:Upon seeing the video, users left comments trying to cheer up the mother-daughter duo.
"I'm so sorry!!! she must have been heartbroken! Next time let us know we will show up and out for her," wrote one person.
"This is a rule at my house," another said. "If we are invited, we’re GOING! We have been the only one that shows up. So sad this happens I’m so sorry!"
"We go to every party we are invited to if we can. Most importantly if we rsvp Yes, we go. You don’t back out unless emergencies," added a third.
Others gave the mom some advice about birthday parties saying, "that's why we don't invite anyone! and just do our own little thing with the kids or take them out."
Some questioned the communication between the mom and other parents, but Breanna quickly shut those rumors down.
"There was a planned event on Facebook," she told the user that questioned whether she followed up. "[Seven] families said they were coming and three changed their rsvp this morning and others didn’t show."
A day before the party, in a post for Instagram, the mom talked about how she was "celebrating [her] girl all weekend" and that Avery couldn't wait to go to her party.
"She’s been talking about it fivever [sic]", she wrote.
So hearing the outcome of the tragic story makes it all the more heartbreaking.
Breanna later updated her concerned followers adding that despite no one turning up, her daughter still had a good time.
"She got everything she wanted," the mom wrote under the video. "Pizza, [Frozen] cake and jungle gym. She didn’t know any different rather than having fun. Just shattered my heart."
Well, rather than having 27 friends wishing her a happy birthday, now Avery has thousands on the internet! Hopefully that will help make up for it!

A daughter was in tears after she discovered that her mother was left alone on her birthday after none of her 40+ guests turned up to the party.
Turning to the video-sharing app, daughter Addie - who goes by the handle @addieraej - shared a video showing how upset she was over the ordeal.
In the overlay text of the TikTok clip, Addie wrote: "My mom threw herself a birthday party and invited over 40 people. It's 5pm, no one showed up and it started at 4pm, I'm crying."
The young girl also revealed in the caption that her mom "made food" and "cleaned the whole house," for her guests, however, no one bothered to show up to celebrate her special day.
Watch Addie's TikTok below:The video rocketed into internet stardom, having amassed a jaw-dropping 17.6 million views and 2.9 million likes on the social media platform.
Many online users rushed to the comments to express their sadness regarding the situation and several wished the unhappy mother a very happy birthday.
One user wrote: "I WISH HER THE BESTEST BIRTHDAY EVERR"
Another commented: "That’s like your dad waiting to watch a movie with you and 2 hours later he’s asleep on the couch when you’re finally ready. :,("
A third said: "Maybe the birthday gift for her is finally the realization that she needs better people in her life who actually love spending time with her."
A fourth shared: "I never celebrate my birthday for this exact reason."
One user asked the daughter if her mom "put the wrong date" down because "there’s no way 40 people wouldn’t show up," to which Addie replied: "She definitely put the right date:/ only 6 people responded to her [Facebook] group invitation and not even they showed."
Undoubtedly, the most surprising message under a follow-up video of Addie and her sister singing happy birthday to their mom was from Noah Schnapp who stars in the hit series Stranger Things.
The Netflix actor wrote: "I would be there! Happy birthday" with two heart emojis. The daughter then responded: "No way you saw this omg thank you."
The heartwarming video garnered 4.6 million views and 655.9K likes on the platform and the TikToker wrote beside the post: "Even though it was just me and my sisters to sing to her, thank you to everyone who was showing her love."
She also added in another update video that her mother is "happy" and is grateful for all the lovely comments.
Let's hope people can come together to give Addie's mom the birthday celebrations she deserves!

A mother has revealed her "shock" after witnessing the "quick effect" TikTok had on her 10-year-old daughter after just seven days.
Speaking to news.com.au, a mom by the name of Annika revealed how her daughter had begged her to download TikTok so she could watch "baking videos".
The Melbourne said that she was hesitant at first, but after realizing many of her daughter's friends were on the social media platform, she believed watching a few videos wouldn't cause any harm.
However, the mom later told the publication: "I was shocked that it had such a quick effect on her.
"Within a week she had burst into tears at the dinner table for not being pretty enough — like the girls on TikTok."
Annika reveals that after her daughter's emotional outburst, she refused to let her daughter back on the social media app.
She explained: "It made me realize how sensitive she was and how sensitive she would be in the future for online stuff."
Despite admitting that she didn't know much about TikTok before, Annika said that the ongoing pandemic has made many parents "weaker".
"[Parents] are more likely to agree to that extra hour of screentime and more likely to make concessions," she said.
The mom added: "For years we’ve been trying to keep them away from screens but now they are on there six hours a day for school, then want to go back for gaming and other things. It’s a battle."
After witnessing her own daughter's experiences on the app, the 44-year-old mom watched the new Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma - which she admits has caused her to remove some of her own social media apps from her phone.
Speaking to news.com.au, clinical psychologist Dr Andrew Fuller said that social media can affect some children negatively because they absorb the comments other people make about them.
Dr Fuller explained: "They’re trusting and that’s a risk because if they believe everything everyone says about them, they can end up with a very negative view of themselves.
"Before they are 13 (years old) you’ve got to be pretty careful because kids might not evaluate things in a logical way that an adult might."
Despite social media helping so many of us to stay connected with friends and loved ones - especially over the last year - Dr Fuller says that parents have to make a judgment about their own child's maturity when it comes to letting them access social media.
"When you’re a young teenager, you imagine the world is always looking at you, how pretty you are, how you talk, how skinny you are. Social media amplifies that," he said.
Social media can truly be a wonderful thing, and something we've all seen the benefits of. But when is the right age to let our children start setting up their own accounts?

A mom has recently divided the internet after she posted a video of her kids inside a cardboard box with crayons while she did the household chores.
Taking to TikTok, Gabrielle Lynn Dunn decided she was going try out a mommy hack she had seen on the platform which involved taking an old cardboard box and putting her kids inside it with a bunch of colored pencils so that they could draw on the sides while she got some "alone time."
In the clip, the mom-of-two then demonstrates all the things she can do while they are occupied in the box - including vacuuming the house.
"Glad we didn't break down that box yet," she says to her 14.5 thousand followers.
Some people were totally behind the move, even stating that they had used this little trick before.
"Honestly some moms are so genius," wrote one user.
"Yeah but I might be that parent in the box with them lmao. What don’t judge me lmao," another added.
A third joked that this idea was "thinking inside the box."
This user compared kids to pets saying: "Kids are similar to cats in this. Even my nephew prefers his cardboard box," while another TikToker relayed their own experiences with boxes and crayons.
"My mom did this with me and my sisters. the magic box was the best part of cleaning day," they said.
However, others were less than impressed.
"My 2 year old hated this.. he got so mad lol I even tried to make it into a house!" stated this user.
Another added that everything's great until the kids start eating the crayons.
Someone else slammed the mom for creating "future graffiti artists." Yikes.
Other TikTok users were advising the mom that it could potentially rienforce bad behavior.
"Reinforces drawing on walls. RIP," commented one user while another also had a similar response: "Am I the only one thinking this will have them coloring the walls by bedtime."
"Do they not have a bedroom to play in?"
The video has since been viewed 10.8 million times.
What do you think about the little hack?
