A devastating video of social media influencer Rachel Mee playing with her son has emerged after her tragic death.
Rachel Mee - also known as Rachel Kaitlyn - was an influencer from Newcastle, United Kingdom. She tragically died last Sunday (December 18), leaving her son Kyro - who was born in March - to face his first Christmas without his mom.
News of the untimely death of the 25-year-old model - who boasted over 40,000 followers on Instagram - was shared by her friend Claire Robinson, who set up a GoFundMe for people to leave donations for the influencer's newborn son.
Now, a heartbreaking video posted in August this year, featuring Mee holding her baby boy as he paddles in the sea has resurfaced. The video was included in a carousel of images of Mee and her baby boy at the beach and was shared on the Instagram account that she had set up for the infant.
Check out the emotional video below:In the touching clip, the influencer's son watches the small waves go past his legs, to which someone says: "What's that Kyro? What's that?"
Included in the post were photos of her sitting on the sandy beach with her adorable baby - who is donning a black hat and playing with his toys.
Fans have been leaving tributes under the video of the influencer and her son, with one user writing: "Kyro when you find this account when [you're] older, know your mum loves you so so much."
Another person also said: "Poor child has lost [his] mother. Please watch over him," while a third commented: "Your mom loved you so so much."
Another video from this month shows the doting mom dancing along to 'Jingle Bell Rock' with her sweet baby attached to her hip and smiling.
On the fundraising page - which has so far raised £508 ($613) of the £5,000 ($6,023) goal for Kyro - Mee's friend shared that this Christmas will be her son's first, and "devastatingly his mummy will not be there".
Mee was described by Robinson as a "beautiful young girl" who "adored" her son "with all her heart." Funds will be raised for Kryo's future "just to take a little stress away from Rachel’s family and to help in some way".
"Or to even give Kyro a little head start in life raising some funds in memory of his beautiful mummy," her friend continued. "Let’s just do what we can to ease even just a little bit of pain for Rachel’s family and close friends," the GoFundMe continued.
"We are all deeply saddened by this sad news and if we can all come together in memory of the beautiful Geordie girl she was then let’s do what we can," the post concluded.
A second GoFundMe page has also been created by Chris Coppen, who said that he was asked by Mee's family to set it up. So far, it has garnered over £5,572 ($6,700) of the £10,000 (12,000) goal. Per the description, any money left over will go to the influencer's son.
The cause of the model's tragic death has yet to be disclosed.
Our thoughts continue to be with Mee's family, friends, and fans at this time.
