Moments before she was found dead alongside her husband, Oklahoma influencer Sara Gilson was heard "screaming and crying" by a 911 call handler.

Heartbreakingly, by the time emergency services arrived at the scene, it was too late, and she was found with fatal gunshot wounds alongside her estranged husband, Jeremiah "Shawn" Duffey.

Cops were alerted by a child who lived at the home and called 911 at 11.15 pm on Thursday, July 23.

In the dispatch audio obtained by People, a 911 call handler can be heard telling first responders: “I’m trying to reach him back, but I could hear a female in the background screaming and crying. Some sort of loud bang in the background.”

Just seconds later, the dispatcher mentioned a “male that we were looking for a few weeks ago after he got caught kissing a juvenile” and referred to “a gun.”

At approximately 11.18 pm dispatchers arrived at the home where they found Gilson, 43, and Duffey, 48, both dead with gunshot wounds. It has since been established that Gilson was shot by Duffey, who then turned the gun on himself too.

Gilson had outed her husband's crimes on social media

On social media, Gilson had recently accused Duffey of being a “pedophile”.

In the video, shared to her more than 50,000 followers on July 11, the influencer mimicked a current trend, in which users pretend to sit down for an interview with Netflix for a documentary.

In text laid over the video, she wrote: “Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon-to-be ex-husband who I just found out is a pedophile.”

Tragically, the video was captioned “I wish I was joking””.

Duffey had recently been accused of sexual relations with a minor when a woman filed for a protective order against him on behalf of her daughter, a 15-year-old girl who played on the basketball team he coached.

According to The Oklahoman, the child’s mother claimed that Duffey kissed and touched her and was caught by another coach.

Gilson found out about his inappropriate relationship

Allegedly, the girl also told her mother that Duffey was extremely inappropriate, sending her messages, inviting her to his hotel room during a tournament trip and offering her money “to keep her quiet.”

Gilson had, in the past, filed her own emergency protective orders against the reported sexual predator.

In 2021, she filed two orders against him, but they were dismissed because Gilson did not appear at the hearing.

Then, less than two weeks before the former couple was found dead, Gilson filed for another emergency protective order against Duffey on July 10. She claimed that he had a gun, threatened to kill himself, and “went on the run”.

Court records show that Duffey was immediately ordered out of their home and ordered to stay 100 yards away from Gilson.

The Oklahoma mother-of-two, 43, had gone viral on TikTok less than two weeks before her death after sharing a video claiming she had "just found out" her husband, Jeremiah "Shawn" Duffey, 48, was a pedophile.

Gilson joined the popular Netflix documentary trend on the platform, where users jokingly pretend to be interviewed for a future documentary about dramatic events in their lives.

"Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon to be ex husband who I just found out is a pedophile," she wrote over the clip.

In the caption, she added: "I wish I was joking."

The video quickly gained attention online and would become one of the final posts she shared before her death.

Gilson and estranged husband found dead

On July 23, Gilson and Duffey were found dead from gunshot wounds at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma, per PEOPLE.

According to KTUL, citing the Owasso Police Department (OPD), Gilson was allegedly shot by Duffey before he fatally shot himself. A child living at the home reportedly made the 911 call.

While police have not officially classified the incident as a murder-suicide, the circumstances are being investigated.

Influencer had sought protection from her husband

Court records show Gilson filed for an emergency protective order against Duffey on July 10, alleging he had a firearm, had threatened suicide and had "went on the run," according to The Oklahoman.

The order required Duffey to leave the family home immediately and remain at least 100 yards away from Gilson.

It was not the first time she had sought legal protection. Court records show Gilson also filed two protective orders against Duffey in 2021, although both cases were dismissed after she did not attend the scheduled hearings.

Allegations involving a teenage girl

The same day Gilson filed for an emergency protective order, another woman also sought a protective order against Duffey on behalf of her 15-year-old daughter.

According to court records, the girl played on a youth basketball team coached by Duffey.

Her mother alleged Duffey kissed and touched the teenager before being caught by another coach.

She further claimed her daughter reported additional inappropriate behaviour, including messages from Duffey, invitations to his hotel room during a tournament and an offer of money "to keep her quiet."

The allegations had not been proven in court at the time of Duffey's death.

Gilson's final posts have resurfaced

After the viral video accusing her estranged husband, Gilson made just two more TikTok posts.

On July 16, she shared a video celebrating a close friendship, writing: "Everyone talks about romantic love but no one talks about how female friendships literally save your life."

Her final post came on July 21, just two days before she was found dead.

Sharing a photo of herself looking out across the water from a boat, Gilson wrote: "May whatever the f*** that was never find me again." In the caption, she added: "Please God. 🫶🏼😔 #traumatok."

Loved ones have launched a GoFundMe to support Gilson's children after her death.

The fundraiser describes Gilson as "an incredible mom" and "an amazing mother, daughter and friend."

"Her children were the center of her world, and everything she did was for them. She loved them fiercely, worked hard to provide for them, and dreamed of giving them the best life possible," they added.

As of this writing, $25,110 has been raised of the $28K target.

Influencer obtained a protective order against Duffey

The Oklahoman reported that Gilson filed for an emergency order of protection against Duffey in June 2026.

The filing resulted in Duffey being ordered to leave the family home and remain at least 100 yards away from Gilson through at least August 24.

It was not the first time she had sought legal protection. Gilson had also filed a restraining order against Duffey in 2021, although it was ultimately dismissed after she did not attend a hearing.

Another emergency protective order was also filed against Duffey in June 2026 by a woman acting on behalf of her 15-year-old daughter, who allegedly played on a youth basketball team he coached.

According to court records obtained by PEOPLE, the girl's mother alleged Duffey kissed and touched the teenager before being caught by another coach.

She also claimed her daughter later disclosed additional inappropriate behaviour, including messages from Duffey, invitations to his hotel room during a tournament and an offer of money "to keep her quiet."

Gilson thanked followers for their support

Before her allegations against Duffey went viral, Gilson posted an emotional message thanking supporters who had rallied around her and her family.

"Thank you for the army. Your thoughts, prayers and gift cards have meant more than you know," she wrote on TikTok on June 20, 2026.

"While I'm grieving and trying to process the worst thing imaginable, I'm solely focused on my children and their well-being. Their safety and mental health is my only concern at this time."

She continued: "We are not OK and I'm not sure I'll ever be the same, but God has been so faithful in this process and I feel his presence in everything I do."

Chilling details from the 911 call

Newly released emergency dispatch recordings have also revealed the frantic moments before police arrived at Gilson's home.

Per PEOPLE, a minor family member called 911 to report a break-in.

In the dispatch audio, one operator said: "I'm trying to reach [the caller] back, but I could hear a female in the background screaming and crying. Some sort of loud bang in the background."

Moments later, another dispatcher reportedly told responding officers the situation involved a "male that we were looking for a few weeks ago after he got caught kissing a juvenile" and referenced "a gun."

The son of a couple who were found dead in a suspected murder-suicide revealed more details about their relationship in a harrowing 911 call.

As previously reported, Olin Johnson, 57, is believed to have fatally shot his wife Kerilyn Johnson, 52, before turning the gun on himself last month.

The couple, who had celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary in April and who share six children, were found dead in their $1.34-million American Fork, Utah home, according to KUTV.

Police confirmed at the time that a family member had found the couple's bodies, but no motive was shared for the killing.

Now, new details have come to light about the couple's relationship, after an audio recording was obtained of their son calling 911 after finding his parents dead.

The harrowing eight-minute call was obtained by ABC4, in which the caller allegedly says: "I think my dad killed my mom, but then he killed himself."

The operator then asked: "Are they beyond help?", to which he responded: "I, yeah. Yes."

When asked if he saw any weapons in the area, the caller allegedly replied: "Yes. There is a gun."

During the call, which was made on June 20 at around 12:40PM, the dispatcher then asked: "Have they been violent? Do they have a history of fighting, or...?”

Their son then allegedly responded: "No, but there’s been a lot of drama recently in the household. Just within the past four days."

While he did not elaborate on what he meant by "drama", the couple's son also spoke about a previous incident in which their father allegedly spent a short time in jail.

He is reported to have said: "There was one instance of like a year or two ago that I think my mom, I don’t know, my dad was chucking stuff around the house.

"He had a — he went to jail for a little bit, but nothing, like, I don’t think like contact physically."

The couple, who were Mormon, had met in a college bookstore and had celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary in April.

While they had often shared photos of happy times together on Facebook, Olin wrote a concerning Facebook status just days before their deaths.

He shared photos of him with his motorcycle on June 18, writing: "No matter how crappy a person I am, motorcycles always love me back. Oh and skiing. Skiing loves me too."

According to Olin's obituary, he was "always calm, thoughtful, kind and professional” with a “compassion for those in need” and a “constant source of calm and strength to his family.”

Their joint obituary adds: "As we cope with immense sorrow, mourning the loss of Kerilyn, our beautiful mother, daughter, and sister, we also mourn for Olin, despite his actions.

"We are overwhelmed with love and support from the community and express our deepest appreciation and gratitude. If you or someone you love is in crisis, please reach out for help.”

Neighbors had said they did not notice anything unusual about the couple the night before their deaths, as they had played softball together, and said Olin had reportedly spoken about future plans.

A GoFundMe was set up in the wake of the tragedy to help the couple's children, and has currently raised over $89,000.

The American Fork Police said: "The family is requesting privacy as they grieve their loss. We express our most profound and sincere condolences to the family and friends of Olin and Kerilyn."
