Influencer Sara Gilson shared a chilling video on TikTok days before her estranged husband allegedly killed her.
The 43-year-old Oklahoma mother-of-two went viral earlier this month after taking part in the popular Netflix documentary trend, where users jokingly imagine themselves being interviewed for a future documentary about dramatic moments in their lives.
But Gilson's video carried a devastatingly serious message.
In the overlay text, she penned: "Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon to be ex husband who I just found out is a pedophile."
In the caption, she added: "I wish I was joking."
The clip quickly spread across the platform and would become one of the last videos she shared before her death.
On July 23, Gilson and her estranged husband, Jeremiah "Shawn" Duffey, 48, were found dead from gunshot wounds at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma.
According to KTUL, Gilson was allegedly shot by Duffey before he fatally shot himself. A child who lived at the home reportedly made the 911 call.
Police have not officially classified the incident as a murder-suicide, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Court records show the influencer filed for an emergency protective order against her estranged husband on July 10, alleging he had a firearm, had threatened suicide and had "went on the run," according to The Oklahoman.
The emergency order required Duffey to leave the family home immediately and remain at least 100 yards away from Gilson.
It was not the first time she had sought protection. Court records show Gilson also filed two protective orders against Duffey in 2021, although both cases were dismissed after she did not appear at the scheduled hearings.
The same day Gilson filed for an emergency protective order, another woman also sought a protective order against Duffey on behalf of her 15-year-old daughter.
Per court records obtained by PEOPLE, the teenager played on a youth basketball team coached by Duffey.
Her mother alleged Duffey kissed and touched the girl before being caught by another coach.
She also claimed her daughter reported additional inappropriate behaviour, including messages from Duffey, invitations to his hotel room during a tournament and an offer of money "to keep her quiet."
The allegations had not been proven in court at the time of Duffey's death.
Following Gilson's death, loved ones launched a GoFundMe campaign to support her two children.
The fundraiser describes her as "an incredible mom" and "an amazing mother, daughter and friend."
It adds: "Her children were the center of her world, and everything she did was for them. She loved them fiercely, worked hard to provide for them, and dreamed of giving them the best life possible."

Influencer's final heartbreaking posts have taken on a new meaning after she was allegedly killed by her estranged husband, just days after publicly accusing him of being a pedophile.
The Oklahoma mother-of-two, 43, had gone viral on TikTok less than two weeks before her death after sharing a video claiming she had "just found out" her husband, Jeremiah "Shawn" Duffey, 48, was a pedophile.
Gilson joined the popular Netflix documentary trend on the platform, where users jokingly pretend to be interviewed for a future documentary about dramatic events in their lives.
"Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon to be ex husband who I just found out is a pedophile," she wrote over the clip.
In the caption, she added: "I wish I was joking."

The video quickly gained attention online and would become one of the final posts she shared before her death.
On July 23, Gilson and Duffey were found dead from gunshot wounds at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma, per PEOPLE.
According to KTUL, citing the Owasso Police Department (OPD), Gilson was allegedly shot by Duffey before he fatally shot himself. A child living at the home reportedly made the 911 call.

After the viral video accusing her estranged husband, Gilson made just two more TikTok posts.
On July 16, she shared a video celebrating a close friendship, writing: "Everyone talks about romantic love but no one talks about how female friendships literally save your life."
Her final post came on July 21, just two days before she was found dead.
Sharing a photo of herself looking out across the water from a boat, Gilson wrote: "May whatever the f*** that was never find me again." In the caption, she added: "Please God. 🫶🏼😔 #traumatok."
Loved ones have launched a GoFundMe to support Gilson's children after her death.
The fundraiser describes Gilson as "an incredible mom" and "an amazing mother, daughter and friend."
"Her children were the center of her world, and everything she did was for them. She loved them fiercely, worked hard to provide for them, and dreamed of giving them the best life possible," they added.
As of this writing, $25,110 has been raised of the $28K target.

Moments before she was found dead alongside her husband, Oklahoma influencer Sara Gilson was heard "screaming and crying" by a 911 call handler.
Heartbreakingly, by the time emergency services arrived at the scene, it was too late, and she was found with fatal gunshot wounds alongside her estranged husband, Jeremiah "Shawn" Duffey.
Cops were alerted by a child who lived at the home and called 911 at 11.15 pm on Thursday, July 23.
In the dispatch audio obtained by People, a 911 call handler can be heard telling first responders: “I’m trying to reach him back, but I could hear a female in the background screaming and crying. Some sort of loud bang in the background.”
Just seconds later, the dispatcher mentioned a “male that we were looking for a few weeks ago after he got caught kissing a juvenile” and referred to “a gun.”
At approximately 11.18 pm dispatchers arrived at the home where they found Gilson, 43, and Duffey, 48, both dead with gunshot wounds. It has since been established that Gilson was shot by Duffey, who then turned the gun on himself too.
On social media, Gilson had recently accused Duffey of being a “pedophile”.
In the video, shared to her more than 50,000 followers on July 11, the influencer mimicked a current trend, in which users pretend to sit down for an interview with Netflix for a documentary.
In text laid over the video, she wrote: “Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon-to-be ex-husband who I just found out is a pedophile.”
Tragically, the video was captioned “I wish I was joking””.
Duffey had recently been accused of sexual relations with a minor when a woman filed for a protective order against him on behalf of her daughter, a 15-year-old girl who played on the basketball team he coached.
According to The Oklahoman, the child’s mother claimed that Duffey kissed and touched her and was caught by another coach.
Allegedly, the girl also told her mother that Duffey was extremely inappropriate, sending her messages, inviting her to his hotel room during a tournament trip and offering her money “to keep her quiet.”
Gilson had, in the past, filed her own emergency protective orders against the reported sexual predator.
In 2021, she filed two orders against him, but they were dismissed because Gilson did not appear at the hearing.
Then, less than two weeks before the former couple was found dead, Gilson filed for another emergency protective order against Duffey on July 10. She claimed that he had a gun, threatened to kill himself, and “went on the run”.
Court records show that Duffey was immediately ordered out of their home and ordered to stay 100 yards away from Gilson.

A TikTok star's son was shot dead the day before his 19th birthday and she is now calling on her followers to help find his killer.
Ophelia Nichols - who goes by the handle @shoelover99 - shared a video on the social media platform on June 27 to announce the devastating news of her son's death.
"Today would have been my baby child’s 19th birthday, but he [was taken] from me last night. Took from my children and my husband and our family," Nichols said in the video to her over seven million followers. "My son was murdered. He was shot."
According to the New York Post, Nichols’ son, Randon Lee, was fatally shot at a gas station on Friday night in Prichard, Alabama. The investigation is reportedly still ongoing, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the murder is unknown at this time.
Watch Nichols' video below:The mother's TikTok account is usually dedicated to videos of her family, responding to questions from her followers, or updating her fans with new cooking recipes.
In a video that has garnered 19.3 million views and 3.8 million likes as of this writing, Nichols said: "I ain’t never asked y’all for anything, but I need your help with this," adding, "there [are] almost 7 million people that follow me. Somebody’s got to know something".
The mother who is deeply heartbroken and angered by her son's death said she now feels a "hatred in [her] heart" that she doesn’t "recognize cause I have never felt hate for anyone".
She then wrote in a text overlay: "I will not stop until my son's murderer is found and prosecuted."
Speaking through her tears, she continued: "I know they're out there in my town, they're out there living and breathing when my son's dead. He was just 18 years old. That's the best part of somebody's life, and I know they're out there in my town"
Nichols then directly addressed her son's killer and held up a photo of her son, saying: "I want you to look at my son... this is my son, and you took him from me."
In an emotional plea, she then concluded in her video, saying that "somebody" knows who murdered her son and asked for her followers' help in finding his killer.
Nichols later commented on her video after it received an overwhelming amount of support, writing: "Just been told we have a lead on [two] individuals. I hope they see this video & know what they have done to my family."

A Mexican TikTok influencer has been killed moments after receiving a mysterious phone call.
Karla Pardini, 21, was shot dead outside her home near Culiacán in Mexico's Sinala state last week on Tuesday, September 20.
According to a report by The New York Post, the social media star received a late-night call around 10:30PM, in which she was told to come outside.
Karla's mother explained how her daughter never returned home, and was found dead shortly at an intersection between Catedrático and Ignacio López Rayón streets.
Sinaloa State Attorney General's Office reported that she was ambushed by an attacker, who shot her multiple times. Prosecutor Sara Bruna Quiñonez told outlets that the murder has been registered as femicide because it occurred while Karla was in an exposed and helpless state.
Quiñonez added that the investigation is being carried out in secret so that possible suspects are not alerted. There have not yet been any arrests made, though several witnesses reportedly told authorities that they had seen armed individuals roaming the area in the hours preceding Karla's death.
Before she passed away, Karla had amassed around 90,000 followers on TikTok, where she shared fashion and dance videos.
Her final ever video shared to the social media platform features the 21-year-old telling her followers: "When they tell me they don't like me. In short, I hope you like me less."
The clip was posted mere hours before the influencer was killed.
Tributes have already begun pouring in on TikTok, with many taking to the comments section of Karla's final video to pay their respects.
"To the friends and family of Ms. Karla Pardini, sending the utmost sympathy for your loss," one person commented.
"RIP beautiful," another wrote, while a third commented: "We live in a cruel world."
Others started leaving the hashtag 'justice por Karla' - which translates to 'justice for Karla' - under her videos.
The influencer's death is not out of keeping with crime rates in the area. According to the regional government, Karla is the 14th woman to be murdered in Sinaloa this year alone.
El Heraldo de Mexico reports that there is currently no clear line in the investigation. However, the outlet did add that Pardini had received threats on previous occasions.
