Husband of Florida mom accused of having sex with family dog hit with huge accusation
The husband of a Florida mom who has been accused of engaging in sexual activity with her family dog has been hit with a huge allegation that could see him prosecuted too.
Malia Nummerdor was recently charged after her estranged husband, Erik, reported the alleged crime to the police, after taking to Facebook to make the heinous claims against her.
Malia claims that her husband filmed her against her will
He reportedly provided the police with footage of the sexual act, and Malia now claims that he recorded it unlawfully.
According to an arrest report from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Erik told investigators that he had installed two security cameras inside the family's home because money had apparently been disappearing from a coin jar.
However, while looking at footage recorded by a camera in a bedroom, he allegedly found a disturbing video showing his wife with the family dog.
Malia has since claimed that her husband installed the cameras without her knowledge and accessed her social media accounts to post images and videos.
She also argued that the recordings were made in 2024 and that Erik had previously threatened to share the videos.
In an affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, a detective working on the case wrote: "He stated the bedroom camera was visible, displayed a blinking red light, and was known to household members.
"The camera recorded continuously in rolling intervals, overwriting older footage."
The document also describes the security video as allegedly showing the mom-of-two was “nude from the waist down, positioned with the dog in a manner consistent with sexual activity”.
Malia was arrested on September 15, and when questioned by authorities, she admitted that she was under the influence.
While she couldn't explain what she was doing with the dog, believed to be named Ranger, she remains adamant that she had no sexual contact with the animal.
If Malia's accusations are true, and it turns out Erik did record the videos in order to set her up and threatened to share them, he could be prosecuted too.
Erik could face serious charges of his own
Spencer Kuvin, chief legal officer at GOLDLAW told RadarOnline that Florida law "prohibits knowingly filming, distributing, or possessing qualifying pornographic material depicting prohibited sexual activity involving an animal."
He added: "Any one of those acts can support a third-degree felony charge."
The legal expert even disclosed that Malia could pursue extortion charges against her ex, especially if "the threats were intended to obtain money, an advantage, or compel her to do something or refrain from doing something against her will".
