Pilot's haunting final message before business jet crashes into Florida trailer park, killing all 9 on board
In the tragic final moments before a private jet plummeted to earth, killing at least nine people in Florida, crew members could be heard panicking through air traffic control audio.
Seconds before the plane nose-dived straight into the ground at around 1PM on Sunday, a Learjet 60 female crew member can be heard screaming: “Holy f**k, we’re out of time.”
The crew reported turbulence moments before the crash
Shortly before the incident, the pilot reported moderate turbulence and “light, clear ice that is manageable” to the Miami Air Route Traffic Control Center.
However, things began going wrong in an instant, prompting the pilot to make a chilling "mayday" report to the controller receiving the message.
In the chilling recording, the pilot said: “We’re descending 8,000 — mayday, mayday — we’re descending 10,000 feet per minute."
Without taking a breath, she then desperately added: “We are in an overspeed condition, descending 20,000 feet per minute.”
“We’re going to crash into the ground,” she added with a terrified scream.
In response, the air traffic controller said: “November two bravo delta, I’m here with you, talk to me.”
Cooperating with their concerned colleague, a crew member replied: “We are descending 22,000 feet, and we are banking 60 degrees … look outside.”
As the crew predicted in their final moments, the private jet, which was flying from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas, smashed into the Greenacres mobile home community and killed all of its passengers and crew.
In the last 24 hours since the plane, reportedly worth $2 million, nosedived into the ground, exploding with a huge fireball and creating a massive crater, videos of the shocking ordeal have been widely shared.
Describing how the fatal crash unfolded, Aviation 24/7 reported that the aircraft caught a tree on the way down, bringing power lines crashing down, making a noise so loud “it sounded like a missile.”
The deadly crash was just miles away from Mar-a-Lago
The plane hurtled to earth just nine miles away from Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach County, just four miles south of the airport that the president departed from little over an hour before the deadly crash.
It landed on the grounds of a community for modular and mobile homes just outside Palm Springs, Greenacres.
Although authorities have confirmed there are "multiple fatalities", they have not yet disclosed whether that includes people on the ground.
While no one who was killed in the crash has been publicly identified yet, the Learjet60 was reportedly registered to a private business, LR60271 LLC, in Wilmington, Delaware.
