Chrissy Teigen originally found fame as a model, and now she's one of the most popular celebrities on social media. People love her hilarious clap-backs, heartfelt messages, and candid reflections on pregnancy. Her looks are stunning, but her words are even...stunning-ier. Sorry. I'm good with words, but I'm no Chrissy Teigen.
Of course, while we love Chrissy's sassy comments, it's not so fun when she takes a shot at you. In fact, Donald Trump was so offended by one of her replies that he blocked her from Twitter. And it wasn't even one of her most savage tweets! For example, in February 2017, she joked he was "evil."

And in June 2017, she told him to "grow the f--- up."

But the tweet that finally made him hit 'block'? She wrote "nobody likes you." Clearly, that struck a chord. (What a snowflake!)

In May, a federal judge ruled that it is unconstitutional for the president to block critics on Twitter because it violates the First Amendment. But since the White House is appealing the ruling, I'm guessing all those critics are still blocked. Well, Chrissy Teigen doesn't need Twitter to troll the president. Today she got him an amazing "gift" for his 72nd birthday: A large donation to the American Civil Liberties Union.

The ACLU is a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is "to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States." According to critics, the Trump administration's policies have been harmful to reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, immigrants' rights, and more.
So, Chrissy announced on Instagram that their family donated $288,000 to the ACLU. Why $288,000? Because it's Donald Trump's 72nd birthday, and that's four $72,000 donations from each member of their family. (The couple has two kids, two-year-old daughter Luna and three-week-old son Miles.) They encouraged their followers to join them, and donate $7.20, $72, or whatever they like.
In the note, Chrissy explained that they were motivated by the heartbreaking stories of children being separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border:
"John and I are outraged to see and hear the horror stories of immigrant families seeking asylum and refuge in America being ripped apart due to the inhumane policies of the Trump administration. These actions are cruel, anti-family and go against everything we believe this country should represent.
"On this auspicious occasion, in order to Make Trump’s Birthday Great Again, each member of our family has donated $72,000 to the ACLU."

Well, that's a thoughtful gift, but I doubt President Trump will send them a thank you card. I wonder how he's celebrating his birthday... Eating 72 Big Macs? Playing 72 rounds of golf? Having a 72 minute Skype call with his new BFF, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un? It's hard to say. But if you'd like to send him well wishes, you could follow Chrissy & John's lead.

Veritable queen of Twitter, Chrissy Teigen, can seemingly do no wrong. Whether she's lambasting the 45th President of the United States for his controversial administration, or making some quip about the realities of motherhood, Chrissy's 10.6 million followers are there to like and retweet it all.
And she's open about most facets of her life, including her two children, breastfeeding, her relationship with John Legend... and her recent weight gain.

"How do you eat like this??" - basically I am 20 pounds heavier than I was before miles. he's 10 months old, I never lost the last bit because I just love food too much. Just coming to terms with my new normal, when I had this certain number for so long!" Chrissy wrote on Twitter yesterday.

"The thinnest I've ever been was right after Luna. Postpartum depression. I'LL TAKE THESE POUNDS AND THIS FEELING!" And good for her, cause she looks amazing either way!" she added.

In related news, at Los Angeles' Beauty Con, the mother-of-two spoke candidly about her body image insecurities.
Speaking at a panel at the two-day event, Chrissy disclosed, "There have been times I've cried to John, where I felt like I would never have 'that' body."
"Everyone has a butt now, and curves, and a little waist, and that's not me," she continued. "I'm jealous of those bodies and I want that, but I also feel like I really want to be cool with my body because of people like you guys. … That's why I don't post many makeup selfies, because I don't feel anyone knows what a real face looks like anymore, and it kills me that we have to completely wash a face or body out for it to get likes."

In a world where it's hard to come across a photo which hasn't been filtered and FaceTuned to perfection, it's admirable that someone as high-profile as Chrissy is committed to keeping it real, and showcasing beauty standards which are actually attainable.
"My old ass will go on social media, and I will look at the Photoshopping, FaceTuning, and the apps — and everything that goes into creating what is now a hit Instagram photo — and I feel insanely inadequate," she added.
While Chrissy certainly won the genetic lottery, and is in no need of filters and FaceTuning apps, it's nice of her to share that she has some of the same hangups as us ordinary folk.
Regardless of how conventionally "attractive" you are, social media still has the power to make us feel painfully inadequate.
Good on you for being so open, Chrissy!

It is no secret that model, TV personality, and mom-of-two is not the biggest fan of President Trump and First Lady Melania.
Last week, Teigen lashed out at "wifebot" Melania for the way she promoted her Be Best initiative on Twitter, and last year Trump called the 34-year-old American model "filthy-mouthed" in amidst their Twitter feud.
Now, Teigen has hit out at Trump's response to taking a coronavirus test, by recalling the graphic details of her birth to daughter Luna.

During a press conference last week, the POTUS was asked by one reporter: "What was it like taking the test?"
Providing an honest response, Trump said: "[It's] not something I'd want to do every day, I can tell you that," adding "It’s a test. It’s a medical test. Nothing pleasant about it."

However, unimpressed by Trump's reply to the question, American actress, voice artist, and writer Sarah Thyre posted on Twitter: "Our shitprez is bitching about how invasive the Covid test is and excuse me, I've had multiple hands shoved up my vagina to try to pull out a a single damn baby - and you are bitching about a swab up your f**king nose that could save millions of lives F*******CK YOUUUUU [sic]".

The 51-year-old Strangers with Candy star received over 51,000 'likes' for her tweet, but it was Chrissy Teigen's graphic response that left most people a little wide-eyed.
Replying to Thyre's tweet, Teigen wrote to her 12.4 million followers on Monday: "[My] vagina was ripped to my a**hole giving birth to Luna. I had a vagasshole. f**k your swab pain."
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/chrissyteigen/status/1241975427809177600]]
She added: "they had to put a garbage bag at the end of the bed to collect my blood before [stitching] me up, where I then had to pee using a water bottle as a pain fountain for 3 months. so yeah. the swab, I bet it’s super rough."

Per Intelligencer magazine, the standard test for the COVID-19 coronavirus requires "a sample to be taken from the back of the throat", which is "done with a nasopharyngeal swab" (which looks like a giant Q-tip).
"The swab is inserted into a patient’s nose, twisted around, and yanked out."
Speaking to USA Today, one doctor revealed that it takes ten seconds for a calm patient to complete the test, but this could be longer for "jittery" patients. In addition, some patients have to get multiple swabs.
