One of the adult entertainment industry's most recognizable stars has revealed there's still one fantasy she hasn't managed to realize.
Angela White, who entered the adult industry at 18 after growing up in Australia before later moving to the United States, says she's accomplished a huge amount throughout her career, but there is one sexual area she is yet to frequent.
Most recently, she took home two trophies at the Pornhub Awards, including the Most Popular Female Performer, the industry's most prestigious prize.
Despite her list of achievements, White admits there's one experience that still eludes her, and admittedly it is a little out of this world… literally.
"I want to have sex in space," she told news.com.au, explaining she's fascinated by the idea of intimacy in zero gravity.
"I'm so fascinated and curious about it — although even if I can't make space happen, maybe I can convince a zero gravity place to let me experience it."
White said she imagines the weightless environment would create a completely different experience.
She believes the visuals would be "hypnotizing" and compared the sensation to being intimate in water.
She also quipped that certain positions and movements would probably have an amusing twist without gravity.
While she acknowledged the idea is probably unrealistic due to the enormous cost involved, not least the safety limitations, she admitted it's still something she'd love to experience.
"I'd just love to experience that," she said.
Although she's open to trying new things, White said there are clear boundaries she won't cross when filming.
She explained she refuses to take part in anything illegal, degrading, or motivated by hate.
"I really just focus on things that are fun and working with directors that I enjoy being on set with and working with performers that I have genuine connection with. Those are what I focus on," she said.
As the owner of her own production company, White also spoke about some of the less glamorous aspects of working in the industry.
She said meeting release deadlines can often be one of the biggest challenges, pointing to her award-winning film F* Angela, which launched simultaneously on DVD, VHS and digital platforms.
"So having those moving parts and trying to get everything ready for releasing on a specific day, that's stressful," she explained.
"But I mean it's part of the job as long as you have good time management skills you can usually get it done."
However, she said unexpected setbacks are almost inevitable.
According to White, productions can be disrupted by last-minute cancellations, locations falling through or performers withdrawing from a project.
She admitted those situations "can be stressful."
White also challenged the perception many people still have about the adult industry.
"A lot of people still think it's a shady industry, when in reality it is very corporate – there is so much compliance," she told news.com.au.
"There is so much paperwork."
She explained that performers are required to complete extensive compliance procedures before filming, including 2257 documentation, which verifies identities and ages to help prevent child exploitation.
Every performer must present identification on camera before a scene begins, while both participants also complete a detailed boundaries checklist covering every activity they are willing, or unwilling, to take part in.
"We go through and say 'yes' or 'no' or ask for clarification," White said, adding that the process usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes.
She said these behind-the-scenes procedures often surprise people, noting that much of the industry operates with a level of corporate oversight that many outsiders wouldn't expect.
