Brooklyn Beckham has finally married his fiancée, Nicola Peltz, in an ultra extravagant ceremony.
But the lavish event has left social media commenters questioning the reported cost of their wedding.
As reported by Sky News, Brooklyn - the 23-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham - and Nicola - the 27-year-old daughter of billionaire financier Nelson Peltz - tied the knot in a stunning ceremony on the grounds of her father's $103 million Palm Beach mansion.
The wedding, which is thought to have cost up to $3.6 million, was a star-studded affair, with the ceremony's 300 guests including Eva Longoria, Serena Williams and Gordon Ramsay.
Brooklyn's younger brothers Romeo, 19, and Cruz, 17, were best men at the wedding and his sister Harper, 10, was one of the bridesmaids.
The groom announced his engagement on social media nearly two years ago in July 2020.
He wrote: "Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day. I love you baby."
However, while it is, of course, an occasion to celebrate, fans couldn't help comment on the eye-watering cost of the pair's wedding.
One person argued: "Weddings are lovely things but I do feel the 3m dollar cost of Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding is in poor taste in these times of hardship for many. It would have been a wonderful gesture to have a smaller wedding and donate the money to charity instead."
Another said: "It's the same with Brooklyn Beckham's wedding which cost £3 million! That amount of money could of helped a lot of people but NO they just had to waste in on a wedding."
A third wrote: "Am I the only one living for the Brooklyn Beckham wedding this morning? Holy c***. My yearly salary wouldn’t pay for some of these dresses. Like these folks are riiiiiiich rich."
However, not all were appalled by the staggering expense of the young couple's nuptials.
In fact, one commenter argued: "People complaining that Brooklyn Beckham in-laws have spent £3million on their daughters wedding. If I had that sort of money they have, I'd give my princess the wedding of her dreams."
