Kathy Griffin has candidly shared her thoughts on Britney Spears' recent "knives" video on Instagram.

Last week, the 41-year-old 'Toxic' singer sparked concern on social media after posting a video of her waving two large knives around while sporting a crop top and white bikini bottoms.

Although she assured her worried supporters in the caption that the objects were fake, many of her 42.2 million followers still assumed that they were real and even took the drastic measure of calling the cops.

"I started playing in the kitchen with knives today !!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon !!!" the singer wrote in the caption.

Check out the singer's latest knife video:

Spears - who has been no stranger to media scrutiny due to her tumultuous personal life - posted a subsequent video on September 29.

She once again reiterated that the knives were fake, writing: "I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA."

She revealed that "no one needs to worry or call the police" because she was "trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira" after the 'Hips Don't Lie' musician danced with fake knives during her 2023 VMAS performance.

"A performance I was inspired by !!! Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks," she added in her caption.

Upon seeing all the commotion surrounding Spears, the 62-year-old stand-up comedian decided to poke fun at the pop icon by doing her own imitation of the viral clip. In her video, Griffin wore a pink bikini and black rain boots while holding a kitchen knife and a spatula at arm's length.

"This is not a prop knife or spatula," she wrote in the text over the video. In the caption, she added: "You heard me, we’ve got knives, we’ve got spatulas…and we’ve got a Vegas show @themiragelv on October 6th!"

The mockery didn't stop there as the comic had a lot more to say about the 'Baby One More Time' songstress during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday (October 3).

Watch Griffin share her candid thoughts on Spears below:

Griffin openly spoke on the #FreeBritney movement and the end of the pop star’s conservatorship, and said: "I fear the #FreeBritney people, I do..."

She then remarked: "But sometimes, a person can be too free," earning loud laughter from the 55-year-old host and the studio audience.

The comedian cheekily added: "All I’m saying is, I love you gays and I love you #FreeBritney people, but you didn’t have a plan."

Griffin's comments come after police officers performed a welfare check on the 'Stronger' musician after igniting a fresh wave of controversy with her video.

The star took to her Instagram to hit out at the cops who showed up at her property in a post, penning: "So unacceptable for cops to listen to random fans and come into my home unwarranted...Jesus Christ...Can I make calls and make others feel threatened in your home?"

She claimed that the authorities who came to her home wouldn't leave "until they spoke to me as people did 4-minute performances with knives," adding: "I am getting an apology. I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now.

"As my mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m in the wrong…nope it’s an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! It’s about power for cops," she concluded.
