Britney Spears has slammed the cops who showed up at her house after she posted a video that showed her dancing with knives.

The 41-year-old 'Toxic' singer, who has been no stranger to media scrutiny due to her tumultuous personal life, ignited a fresh wave of controversy when she posted a video on September 25 showcasing her twirling and dancing with these unusual props.

"I started playing in the kitchen with knives today," Spears wrote in the caption.

The video quickly sparked concerns among her devoted fanbase, prompting some to request a wellness check from authorities, amid heightened worries about her well-being. Check out the singer's latest knife video:

In a swift response to the concerns, Spears amended the caption of her original video to clarify: “Don’t worry they are NOT real knives!!! Halloween is soon!!!”

In a subsequent video shared on September 29, Spears reiterated her clarification, stating: “I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA.”

She continued: "These are not real knives. No one needs to worry or call the police. I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by!!! Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks."

The star has now hit out at the cops who arrived at her property which she paired with a picture of ballet shoes with knives on the points.

"So unacceptable for cops to listen to random fans and come in to my home unwarranted," Spears wrote. "Can I make calls and make others feel threatened in your home?"

She continued: "The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people did 4 minute performances with knives. I am getting an apology. I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now."

Spears concluded her statement by saying: "As my mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m in the wrong…nope it’s an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! It’s about power for cops."

Spears' ongoing communication with her fans and the media occurs amid her separation from her husband Sam Asghari, following 14 months of marriage.

Asghari filed for divorce in August, citing irreconcilable differences, but both parties have expressed mutual love and respect, as well as a call for kindness from the public and media.

Spears recently broke her silence on the divorce, confirming, “As everyone knows, Hesam [Asghari] and I are no longer together.”
