Whatever your feelings on the oft-contentious figure that is Kanye West, you can't deny that he and Kim Kardashian are a solid unit. Certainly, while Kim refuses to endorse some of West's wilder assertions - that slavery was a "choice" to name but one - they only seem to be going from strength to strength.
The couple recently welcomed their third child, Chicago, who was born by surrogate, in January of this year, and Kim even allows the Yeezy designer to regularly purge her wardrobe in an effort to ensure she never replicates her previous sartorial choices, many of which West deemed disastrous.
Now, Kim has opened up about the early days of her and West's courtship, revealing that she hid her wedding ring from the rapper when they first met.
Kim, who was married to Kris Humphries (a union which lasted a total of 72 days) when she met West, knew that there might be a special something with the Yeezus singer after a telling encounter with him shortly after she wed Humphries.
During a radio interview with Big Boy on Real 92.3 yesterday, the reality television star recalled seeing West's "heartbroken" face as she flashed her wedding ring at an event that they both attended, by and by realising she had "f*cked up".
"You know, I f*cked up, and went a different direction, and realized that I f*cked up pretty soon," she said in reference to her 2011 marriage to Humphries.
"What was crazy was -- I've never told this story before -- so I'm presenting an award... and Kanye was nominated. So I see him backstage. We end up both at the Soho House, and he sat at my table, and I had my big ring on, because I was married," she recalled. "So, I'm talking with my ring, and I talk with my hands a lot, so I'm talking and I just see him looking at my ring, and his face would just like, get heartbroken. So I sat on my hand for the rest of the dinner and spoke like this, with one hand."
"I caught on to that, yeah. You know, we look back now, and I guess him and his best friend had a convo, and he was like, 'Dude, like, we're at a restaurant together. She just got married two weeks ago,'" Kim continued. "Nothing went down, nothing happened, but then I went to New York and started filming and I was like, 'You're right, I'm miserable. I made the wrong decision.'"
The 37-year-old officially started dating West in April of 2012, although her divorce wasn't finalised until the third of June, 2013, which was just days before she gave birth to her and West's first child together, North. The pair married in 2014, and welcomed their second child, Saint, in 2015. Back in January, their third child, Chicago, was delivered via surrogate - a process that Kim has been increasingly outspoken about in recent months.
We wish Kim and Kanye a very happy life together!
