Olivia Culpo has claimed that she was asked to "put on a blouse" before attempting to board an American Airlines flight.
The 29-year-old former Miss Universe was attempting to fly to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico when she was allegedly approached by airline staff regarding her outfit. Per Page Six, Culpo could be seen in video footage wearing an outfit from Naked Cashmere, including a long black cardigan, bralette, and shorts.
Culpo's sister, Aurora, recorded the aftermath of the alleged incident, saying in the video: "Olivia and I are going to Cabo, and look at her outfit. She looks cute, she looks appropriate, no? They [American Airlines staff] call her up to the desk and tell her that she needs to put a blouse on, otherwise she can't get on the plane.
"Tell me that is not so f***ed up."
In another clip, Culpo can be seen wearing a large, baggy hoodie, as Aurora compares her outfit to another passenger who is wearing a low-cut top. The concerned sibling says: "She [the other passenger] looks beautiful and they don't care, but she [Olivia] has to cover up."
The other passenger can then be heard saying: "She's covered up! My t***ies are out!"
The videos were originally posted to Aurora's Instagram Stories on January 13, and were later re-shared by Culpo on her own account.
VT has reached out to American Airlines for an opportunity to comment on the alleged incident, as well as provide further details on its passenger dress code. Currently, their website states that passengers must "dress appropriately", adding that "bare feet or offensive clothing aren’t allowed".
In response to the clips, Culpo's fans have been taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the situation.
Tagging American Airlines in a tweet, one person wrote: "What year will we be done policing women’s bodies???"
A second added: "@AmericanAir telling @oliviaculpo she needed to put more clothes on before she could board her plane. She's cute and looks good as hell!"
Both sisters have since taken to Instagram to confirm that they have made it to Cabo San Lucas.
