Whenever someone I know gets a tattoo, I tell them it's brilliant, regardless of my true feelings.

I think it's because, as new additions go, a tattoo is a pretty permanent fixture on your body, and I couldn't bear to tell someone that I thought their new ink was a huge, and very costly, mistake.

There are a lot of excellent tattoos out there, though, and a great many of them live on the body and face of Post Malone.

Yes, the 24-year-old singer and rapper has accrued a large number of tattoos over time, including now famous ink on his face and hands. And to ring in the New Year, Post has just got himself one of his most standout tattoos yet.

Now, as we're all aware, 2019 has just passed us by. It's been a turbulent year if we're being honest, chock full of heated political debate. In fact, we were really only left with two familiarities last year: the New England Patriots winning the Super bowl, and Post Malone celebrating the New Year by getting a new face tattoo.

Per Fox News, the Circles singer's tattoo Kyle Hediger artist took to Instagram to share an image of a large new face tattoo.

They wrote;

"Last tattoo of 2019. Gauntlet on the baby boy @postmalone love u. 2020 is going to be next level. Love you all ?"

Relive Post Malone's bizarre AMAs speech:

So yes, as we stumble onwards into 2020, nursing a sore head and a smaller bank balance, Post Malone strides forth triumphant, replete with his huge new gauntlet tattoo and safe in the knowledge that 2019 was a good year for his music.
