Months after losing her son to an overdose, Jane Schneck has been arrested in Florida following an alleged domestic disturbance.
Schneck is the mother of Nick and Aaron Carter, the latter of whom tragically passed away in November 2022, as well as their other siblings.
Carter was found deceased in a bathtub in his home in Lancaster, California, in November and an autopsy was performed but his cause of death was initially deferred pending toxicology results. It was later concluded that Carter had died from drowning after taking alprazolam (known as Xanax) and inhaled compressed difluoroethane (often used in cans of compressed air).
The report stated he became "incapacitated while in the bathtub due to the effects" of the drugs and the huffing and, ultimately, he slipped under the water and drowned. The singer's death was officially ruled accidental.

According to reports, Schneck was arrested following a domestic disturbance involving her husband.
TMZ reported that Schneck was arrested on Friday last week after drinking with an adult family member and getting into a verbal altercation that turned physical.
According to a police report, which was obtained by the outlet, Schneck had the TV blaring so loudly that her husband could not sleep, and the pair had a confrontation over the remote.
It was alleged that Schneck grabbed her husband's wrist after he began recording the incident on his phone, at which time he called the police. Reports claim that when law enforcement officers arrived at the Florida home and viewed the video, they arrested Schneck for battery. She posted a $100 bond and was released from police custody the same evening.
Earlier this year, Schneck had called for Carter's death to be ruled a homicide, sharing disturbing photos of the bathroom in which her son's lifeless body was discovered.
"Still trying to get a real investigation for the death of my son Aaron Carter. I want to share these death scene photos with you all because the coroner wrote it off as an accidental drug overdose. They never investigated it as a possible crime scene because of his addiction past," she wrote on Facebook.
Carter's on-off fiancée Melanie Martin - with whom he shared one-year-old son Prince - told TMZ after the cause of death was released: "The results of the autopsy are not closure for me. It claims death is by drowning but also adds he was wearing a t-shirt and necklace in the bathtub which doesn't make sense, why would he be in a bathtub with clothes on?
"I am still in shock and still miss Aaron every day. I don't understand the chain of events and this report only has us asking more questions."
