Savannah Chrisley has shared that her younger brother is finding it difficult to adjust after their parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were sent to federal prison.

On January 17, the Chrisley Knows Best stars reported to their individual prison locations for their federal tax fraud case convictions which included wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

Todd, 53, is sentenced to 12 years and has reported to Federal Correctional Institution Pensacola in Florida while Julie, 50, is serving seven years and was sent to Federal Medical Center Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky.

On the latest episode of her Unlocked podcast, their 25-year-old daughter opened up about her "toughest week" and how 16-year-old brother Grayson and her 10-year-old niece are finding the situation.

In the episode - which was recorded on January 24 - Savannah said: "It's been hard. It's been hard to understand, process, and also help two kids process what's going on in our life."

The reality TV star said that she is in a "unique situation" trying to support the children and added: "I'm helping to guide Chloe and Grayson through this process.

"And I'm having to guide them through this process as I'm trying to guide myself through this process which is very, very difficult," she continued. "I'm trying to stand strong and not break and be strong for them. So they feel comfortable enough to break down, and it's tough."

The Sassy by Savannah founder emotionally spoke about how her teenage sibling is doing amid her parents' legal troubles and said: "Grayson is 16 years old, [and] there's so much growth going on with him right now. And it breaks my heart to know that my parents are missing out on that.

"Last night, Gray had a breakdown," she revealed, "and he's trying to process my parents and the situation that they're in and how that's not the image that he wants to have of them."

Savannah also admitted that Chloe - who is the daughter of Kyle Chrisley and Angela Victoria Johnson - is struggling to adapt to her new normal.

The podcaster said she is "trying to process them being gone and missing her mom," and recalled a recent incident when she was driving with her niece and faced questions about why her parents had been taken away from her.

"She looked at me with tears just rolling down her face and said, 'Guess what? I pray all the time. I pray for mom and dad to get home, I pray all day and guess what Sassy? Nothing happens - it doesn't work.' And when a 10-year-old says that to you, how do you respond?", she said.

Savannah has previously opened up about her own struggles with her parents' ordeal and said her life was "falling apart" but she has continued to stick by them as they maintain their innocence and plan to appeal their sentences, per Today.

Due to their prolonged terms, the TV personality disclosed that she will now be taking custody of her teenage brother and her niece - who was also adopted by Todd and Julie.
