We're back at it again with another installment of the seemingly never-ending feud between Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber.

In the latest chapter of this unfortunate series of events - which feels like a loose plot for an episode of something from The Real Housewives franchise -  Selena has come out of her self-imposed social media break to ask that people be kinder.

The 30-year-old former Disney Channel star decided to take a social media break in late February after some tense back-and-forth between her and Hailey (and also inadvertently Kylie Jenner). This included Kylie and Hailey posting a pic of their eyebrows after Selena uploaded a clip where she revealed she'd accidentally laminated her own brows too much.

While Kylie and Hailey insisted they weren't shading Selena, many netizens believed otherwise. Then, when an old video of Hailey poking fun at Taylor Swift resurfaced on TikTok, Selena defended her bestie in the comments section underneath the clip.

It was after all of this drama that Selena chose to take time away from social media, revealing on TikTok Live: "I'm going to be taking a second from social media because this is a little silly. I'm 30 and am too old for this. But I love you so much and I'll see you guys sooner than later. I'm just gonna take a break from everything."

During this break, fans have accused Justin of handing out party favors to guests at his 29th birthday party that seemed to lowkey shade his ex - whom he famously dated on and off between 2011 and 2018. Guests posted images of silver lighters engraved with a phrase that reads: "I'm so grateful that I didn't end up with what I thought I wanted."

Twitter went into overdrive as netizens commented on the party favors. "This is so petty, I mean if that's the way you and your wife feel keep that petty s**t to yourself lol [...] and please, you don't have to mention somebody's name or say 'who' to understand exactly what they talkin abt [sic]," someone tweeted.

"Admitting that your wife was your second choice on your birthday is crazy lmao selena truly lives in his mind rent free," another tweet read.

Amongst all this chaos Selena has decided to take a break from her break to ask her followers - all 394 million of them - to be kinder. Taking to TikTok, the Only Murders in the Building actress wrote: "Thank you and love you all so much. I'm deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy.

"Please be kind and consider other people's mental health. My heart has been heavy, and I only want good for everyone. All my love [...]," she added.

Here's hoping all of them can move on without any further digs at one another.
