Tina Turner's son, Ronnie Turner, has died aged 62, according to reports.

Ronnie, who the legendary singer, 83, shared with her husband Ike Turner, died on Thursday morning after paramedics were unable to resuscitate him following an emergency call.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that they received a 911 call from a person who said Ronnie was having breathing difficulties outside their home in the San Fernando Valley.

Ronnie soon stopped breathing altogether, according to reports, and attempts to save his life using CPR were unsuccessful, with him being declared dead at the scene.

His cause of death has yet to be determined, but Ronnie is thought to have had health issues spanning numerous years, including battling cancer.

The Turner family has faced past tragedies, including Tina's eldest son Craig - who she had before meeting Ike - who died by suicide in 2018.

Ronnie was best known for acting in What's Love Got to Do With It in the 90s, and playing bass guitar in a band called Manufactured Funk, as well as both of his parents' bands.

As well as Craig - who Tina had at the age of 18 with Kings of Rhythm saxophonist Raymond Hill - and Ronnie, Tina also adopted two of Ike's children, raising them as her own.

Ronnie was married to French singer Afida Turner since 2007, who wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos of them together: "My God Ronnie Turner a true angel, huge soul, highly spiritual.

"My husband, my best friend, my baby. I your mummy, your nurse, I did the best to the end. This time I was no able to save you, love U for this 17 years. This is very very very bad, I am very mad.

"This is a tragedy, U with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline. Rest in paradise. So unfair." (sic)

Ronnie's father, Ike, also died at the age of 76 in 2007, with his cause of death being cited as a cocaine overdose combined with other significant conditions, including hypertensive cardiovascular disease and pulmonary emphysema.

He and Tina divorced in 1978, with it later coming to light that there had been violence within the marriage.
