In 2009, professional basketball player Lamar Odom married professional Kardashian Khloé Kardashian. They promised they would take each other, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health - but not in a booze, drug and hooker binge at a brothel just outside Las Vegas. That tends to be something of a dealbreaker. (Geez, why are women so uptight?)
Well, actually Khloé and Lamar's relationship was going off the rails before that notorious incident. To use a basketball term, their marriage wasn't exactly a "touchdown." (Nailed it.) Khloé filed for divorce in December 2013, although the couple never got around to finalizing the split. (Probably because whenever they tried to finalize it,
Kanye West interrupted them, and said he was really happy for them, and that he would let them finish, but
Jennifer Aniston and
Brad Pitt had one of the best divorces of all time. One of the best divorces of all time!)
Then, in October 2015, Lamar had his infamous overdose at Denis Hof's Love Ranch in Nevada. Two of the prostitutes - Monica Monroe and Ryder Cherry - found the 35-year-old former NBA player unconscious in his room. Param... (truncated for brevity) ...
...but you know who wasn't laughing, in her womancave?
Kim Kardashian.

The 37-year-old reality television star recently
welcomed her third child, but she's not too busy to clap back on social media when people diss her sister. Lamar said he knew it was over when Khloé was on her "second or third NBA ballplayer," and Kim fired back on Twitter, quipping, "or second or third brothel." (Damn! I assume at that point Kanye brought her a mic, just so she could drop it.)
It's great that Kim has Khloé's back, isn't it? She responded with the perfect comeback. To use a famous basketball term, it was a real "hat trick." (Man, I am nailing it with these sports metaphors. ESPN will hire me any day now.)
