A cop in Australia has been praised on TikTok after teaching a group of stranded young women how to change a flat tire.
Alanna Smith and her two sisters, Bella and Olivia, as well as her cousins Britt and Eb Perrin found themselves in a tricky predicament when a wheel on their car was punctured on a highway in Sydney.
Fortunately, it wasn't long before a motorcycle highway patrol officer - who just happened to be passing by - lent a helping hand.
Alanna, who goes by @.alannabanana on TikTok, posted footage of Officer Jon Beckerleg of New South Wales changing their flat tire on the side of a highway.
As he got to work on the tire, he also instructed the young women on what to do if they ever find themselves in a similar situation in the future.
Check out the sweet video here:She captioned the video: "Adding him to the list of men ill be wishing a happy fathers to #nicecop #flattire #ournewdad #highway". [sic]"
According to Alanna, the officer "made it his mission to teach us how to change a tire" and added to Daily Mail Australia that she and her family felt incredibly grateful towards the officer.
She said: "We were continuously saying thank you! I'm still not confident I'd be able to change a wheel next time I need to - but at least we now have the video to refer to!"
Alanna added: "We hadn’t even all got out of the car when the police officer pulled up asking if we were okay and helped us change the tire.
"After everything was finished he helped us pack everything back into my boot and made sure we were all in the car safely - and even made a gap for us to pull out in front of him on the highway before he drove away."
Needless to say, plenty of people have since taken to the comments of the video to praise the kind man for taking his time to share some life skills with the young women.
One person wrote: "This is so wholesome," while another added: "Aussie cops are the best cops."
A third said: "I hate highway patrol but hey I respect that guy," with a final TikTok user adding: "These are the cops we want and need."
