Man reveals brutal comment woman made after finding out he had a micropenis
A 26-year-old man has spoken unreservedly about the emotional toll of living with a micropenis, including a painful moment involving a woman he once dated.
Appearing anonymously on the Other People's Lives podcast, hosted by Joe Santagato and Greg Dybec, he explained how he first realized as a child that his body was different from others, something that later shaped his confidence and relationships.
Man opens up about micropenis
He admitted that fear of judgment often caused him to end relationships prematurely, saying: “I cut it off because I was nervous and scared.” He continued by adding: “That’s how it was for a long time. Still is, to be honest.”
After years of avoiding deeper connections, he eventually opened up to a woman he said he had “proper feelings for.” During an intimate moment, he revealed his condition to her. Although she tried to be understanding, he sensed her discomfort.
“She knew it was terrible, which she tried her hardest not to tell me,” he said. “But she’s an honest person as well, and I could tell... I don’t blame a woman for thinking, ‘I don’t want this.’ I don’t blame that at all.”
Even after their romantic relationship ended, the two remained friends. However, a later moment while watching a film together brought things back into focus. During a sexual scene, she remarked: “Oh, I’m scared now, I’m nervous.”
While not intended to hurt him, the comment stayed with him. Reflecting on it, he said: “She’s never dealt with something like this before... so obviously, now it’s her head. She’s scared, and I [start] to feel bad for them.”
He explained that he didn’t feel comfortable addressing the comment directly, and the relationship ultimately ended “pretty badly.”
The man acknowledged that physical compatibility can play a major role in relationships and that his condition can be a barrier. “If it’s not going to work out because of that, then I understand,” he said.
He also highlighted the difficulty of deciding when and how to be open about it, asking: “If you can, you should tell the woman, but when do you tell her?”
Size is an issue across the board
His experience echoes how intimacy challenges can affect relationships far more broadly. Model Haley Kalil has also spoken publicly about incompatibilities in her sex life and marriage to former NFL player Matt Kalil, who was said to have a penis in the "top 0.01% of the population" in the US.
In a livestream, she revealed that differences in sexual compatibility were a major issue, describing it as a “huge factor” in their eventual divorce. Despite the difficulties, she said they remain on good terms post-divorce, adding: “Love him, but he’s my homie.”
