RFK Jr. shares bizarre health regime that includes 'meditating with dead people'
US Health Secretary RFK Jr. has revealed his strict fitness regime that includes avoiding food until noon and meditating with ‘dead people’.
You heard that right, let’s get into it shall we?
RFK Jr. has been one of Donald Trump’s most controversial appointments
To say that RFK Jr. has been a controversial appointment by Donald Trump is an understatement.
To claim that he might be the MOST controversial is another thing altogether.
After all, the Trump government is full of controversial figures, some who have left, some who have remained, and some who are currently making wild statements in the media that could have consequences on a global scale.
Trump seems to attract people like this, for whatever reason…
Still, RFK has been making headlines since he was named as Trump’s health chief, from his new policies to his advice on everything from food to drugs and medicine.
However, nothing can prepare you for his fitness regime, which is typically unhinged.
He’s a man in his 70s, and - you have to be fair - seems to be in remarkable shape.
It turns out that his ‘secret’ if he has one is a combination of things, from strict discipline to some more… out there habits.
Robert Kennedy Jr. explains his fitness regime
In a resurfaced post on X, RFK explained how he remains in good shape for a man of advancing years.
To start with, he fasts for 17 hours per day, takes three-mile hikes with his dogs each day, and works out four days each week for at least 35 minutes, spending the time lifting weights.
So far, so normal.
He takes testosterone replacement therapy, and also uses a bunch of supplements - again, nothing TOO out of the ordinary here.
In fact, experts agree with a lot of his plan.
In a Daily Mail article, Dr Stuart Fischer - a doctor from New York - said: “I agree with part of this, but the fasting is a bit eccentric — although it is a great way to lose weight.
“The gym and the gym routine should be part of everyone's life to help build and maintain muscle and burn calories, although probably not as often as Kennedy goes.
“I go twice a week and that's plenty.”
RFK Jr. eats a slightly unusual diet
We all know that diet is one of the cornerstones of health, and RFK seems to know that too.
He eats a lot of red meat, steak, and - for some reason - sauerkraut.
It’s a strange choice, but definitely not one that is bad for you.
Scientists are divided on the amount of red meat that you should be eating, but again, that’s not too bad.
However, there’s another part - and it doesn’t concern the physical health, but the mind.
Meditating with the dead
Yep - RFK likes to commune with dead people in his mind, prioritising meditation each day.
In a Free Press interview back in 2023, he said: “I do meditations every day.
“That's kind of the nature of my meditations.
“I have a lot of conversations with dead people.”
Don’t worry though, it’s not all what it seems.
He later clarified those remarks, telling the publication: “They are one-way prayers for strength and wisdom.
“I get no strategic advice from the dead.”
Oh, that’s OK then.
Still, for a man of 72, he’s is ripped and looks in good health, so he’s doing something right.
Whether that is the meditation, we will just have to guess.
