We've all been there - soaking up the warm, summer sun, while sipping on a refreshing mojito before having a dip in the pool. Even better if you can enjoy all three at the same time in a swim-up bar.

But now, a woman has taken to Facebook to shatter this glorious daydream, in an attempt to warn people about the gross reality of swim-up bars at resort pools. In fact, she is advising holiday-goers to never use them.

In a TikTok video - which now has over 4 million views - user @twofoodpiggies posted eight-second footage of vacationers hanging out at a swim-up bar in California.

Check out her video below:

The voice-over in the clip said: "Vacation pro-tip, do not hang out in the pool where the swim-up bar is. There was literally intoxicated guests admitting that they were peeing in the pool here.

"One girl didn't understand why some people were leaving the pool to use the washroom," the voiceover added.

Though, this didn't seem like a shock-revelation to many users, who commented under the viral video: "I've stayed at this hotel, I watched people sit at the pool bar, drink all day and not get out. I did not use that pool."

Some users even admitted to doing it themselves, writing: "Real pro tip, be the first to do it. Chess not checkers."

"As a collegiate swimmer, I promise we all peed in the pool [every day]," someone else chimed in.

The TikTok was even shared on Facebook, where commenters on that platform added their two cents. One person wrote: "As ugly as it is, I do expect people to pee in the pool. And as by the nature of fluids, they mix up, so it doesn't matter if you go to the bar or not. Happy swimming!

"Just come back from Mexico. Worst swim-up bar ever, overcrowded adults-only pool full of very drunk people who must all have been p***ing in that pool. Hotel even had a wheelchair to cart off the drunk people who were incapable of actually getting out if it! No way was I getting in that p***y pool. On occasion it also had vomit in it!!! Vile," another user graphically detailed.

One recent survey detailed some vomit-inducing statistics, including the fact that 20 gallons of urine. Gross... In fact, 19 percent of those surveyed admitted to urinating in public pools.

Holiday expert, Susan Griffin, explained the stomach-churning realities of hot tubs, telling Indy100 that they are even worse than swimming pools. Badly maintained hot tubs "make the perfect breeding ground for germs and bacteria."
