The Sopranos alum John Ventimiglia's daughter Odele has died at the age of 25, her family has confirmed.
Odele died on January 12, with her cause of death yet to be announced. Her mother, Belinda Cape, shared the devastating update in a recent post to Facebook, stating that Odele's loved ones are "heartbroken" over the sudden loss.
The grieving mother penned: "Heartbroken to have to post our darling Odele’s funeral notice.
"Her sister Lucinda and I have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and love we have received, and your remembrances of how cherished Odele was to so many. Odele was greatly loved, and leaves a huge hole in our lives.
"Odele is survived by her sister, Lucinda Ventimiglia, mother, Belinda Cape, father John Ventimiglia, and her beloved daughter Shiloh."
Also paying tribute to the late 25-year-old was her older sister Lucinda, who captioned a carousel of images on Instagram: "Words will never be enough to express the grief we are all feeling. I loved my little sister a lot and I will spend the rest of my life searching for her in everything.
"My family and i are so grateful for all the care and support we have been receiving during this impossible time. It has never been more clear how much she meant to so many people."
In the wake of her passing, the family is asking people to donate to a GoFundMe fundraiser to help cover the costs of Odele's young daughter Shiloh's education in the future.
Its initial goal was $50,000, but the funds are now approaching $57,000.
John's Sopranos co-star Stevie Van Zandt and his wife, Maureen Van Zandt, gave a $500 donation to the fundraiser and shared their "deepest love and condolences."
Another sympathetic donor, who parted with $200, wrote: "My deepest condolences to the Ventimiglia and Cape families...still shocked and deeply saddened, thinking of you all."
Adding a $25 donation, another penned: "Sending prayers for baby Shiloh as a new mom myself. My heartfelt condolences go out to her friends and family."
A forth person, having donated $180, added: "Deepest, most heartfelt, condolences to all the loved ones of beautiful Odele ( there are so many- rightfully so) -So heartbroken for you all."
