Jeremy Renner has given fans an update following his horrific snow plow accident which saw him airlifted to hospital.
The 51-year-old actor, best known for his portrayal of Hawkeye in the popular Marvel series, was involved in an incident near his home in Northern Nevada, which left him in a "critical but stable" condition.
After it was reported that a winter storm hit the area on New Year's Eve, Renner, who is a lover of high-tech machinery, used his own snow plow to help rid clear the area.
However, he was airlifted to the nearest hospital shortly afterward due to a "weather-related incident", according to a report by Just Jared.
A representative of Renner released a statement on behalf of the Mission Impossible star after the incident, telling The Hollywood Reporter that he was "in critical but stable condition."
"We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today.
"His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care," they added.

Taking to Instagram later in the evening, Renner posted a photo of himself from his hospital bed, thanking fans for their support.
"Thank you all for your kind words," he wrote, adding a prayer hand emoji. "I'm too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all."
In the selfie, swelling and bruising around the actor's eyes are clearly visible, while he tries his best to muster up a smile for the camera - a truly heartbreaking image for his fans.
Comments poured in under the post, wishing him a speedy recovery from the ordeal.
"Get well soon bro," said one user.
"Wishing you a smooth recovery. Sending lots of strength, light and patience your way," another added.
A third wrote: "Wishing you the best recovery Jeramy, stay strong you got this."

And fellow members of the Marvel line-up also banded together to wish their "brother" well.
"Continued prayers your way brutha," said Renner's co-star Chris Pratt, while Chris Hemsworth also commented saying: "Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way!"
Cobie Smulders added: "Sending love your way..."

Chris Evans, best known for his role as Captain America, commented saying: "Tough as nails. Love you buddy," with a red heart.
Paul Bettany also sent his well-wishes, telling Renner that he loves him and that he's "sending love and healing," while the Russo brothers emphasized that they hope the Hawkeye star has a "speedy recovery."

According to a separate report by TMZ, there is currently an investigation surrounding the incident and the snow plow has been taken into the possession of authorities for further examination of whether a mechanical fault contributed to the incident.
Our prayers are with Renner and his family during this difficult period. Hopefully, he'll be back to feeling like himself again in no time!
