Following the heartbreaking sudden death of Lisa Marie Presley, further details are beginning to be reported regarding the star's final few hours.

On Thursday, Lisa Marie's mom, Pricilla Presley, tweeted that her daughter had been "rushed to hospital" following an undisclosed medical emergency - and asked fans for their prayers.

Tragically, Pricilla later issued a statement to PEOPLE revealing that her beloved daughter had passed away on Thursday at the age of 54.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," the statement read. "She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment."

Now, TMZ has reported that sources "with direct knowledge" have provided more information about Lisa Marie's passing.

Although no official cause of death has yet to be released, sources tell the outlet that Lisa Marie was found unresponsive in her bedroom by her housekeeper.

She then reportedly received CPR from ex-husband Danny Keough, before EMTs arrived to continue emergency treatment. The Daily Mail adds that EMTs were able to regain a pulse.

Sadly, sources say that Elvis' only child was brain dead when she arrived at the hospital.

As her family rushed to her bedside, Lisa Marie was placed in an induced coma and on life support.

Her family then reportedly signed a DNR (do not resuscitate) order.

When Lisa Marie suffered a second cardiac arrest, she sadly passed away.

Her death came just days after she attended the Golden Globes awards ceremony, in support of Baz Luhrmann's critically acclaimed biopic, Elvis - in which, actor Austin Butler proudly portrayed her legendary father.

Amazingly, Butler scooped the award for Best Actor in Motion Picture Drama. While on stage, he shared a touching speech where thanked the Presley family for their support.

"I also want to thank our incredible producers and Warner Bros and the Presley family, thank you guys," Butler said, to which the camera then panned to the mother and daughter duo looking visibly emotional.

"Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me," he continued, adding, "Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever."

Butler has since paid tribute to Lisa Marie following her passing, telling PEOPLE that his "heart is completely shattered" by the news.

His statement read: "I am eternally grateful for the time I was lucky enough to be near her bright light and will forever cherish the quiet moments we shared."

"Her warmth, her love, and her authenticity will always be remembered," Butler added.

Other stars to pay tribute to Lisa Marie include Tom Hanks and her ex-husband, Nicolas Cage.

Our thoughts continue to go out to Presley's family, friends, and fans at this time.
