In the wake of Lisa Marie Presley's death, fans have been talking about Austin Butler's recent Golden Globes speech, which was unknowingly the perfect tribute to her.

On Thursday morning, Presley was rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest.

As per TMZ, the 54-year-old songwriter was at her home in Calabasas when paramedics were called. Her former husband, Danny Keough, was beside her and continued to perform CPR until medical professionals arrived at the scene and administered at least one dose of epinephrine during the resuscitation process.

Prior to her death, her mother Priscilla took to social media to ask for "prayers" during this difficult time.

"My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital," she told concerned fans. "She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers.

"We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time."

Last night, in an updated statement to the outlet, a representative for the family said: "Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love, and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."

Presley was last seen at the 80th Golden Globes on Tuesday alongside her mother as well as Austin Butler, who was recognized for his performance in the biopic honoring her father, Elvis Presley.

In his acceptance speech, he thanked the entire family for their love and support over the past few years.

Check it out below:

"I want to thank the Presley family," he told the audience. "Thank you, guys. Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, and your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever."

And now people are hailing the speech as the perfect tribute to Presley.

"Austin Butler thanking Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley two days ago is extra powerful now... RIP Lisa Marie," tweeted one user.

"Rest In Peace, Lisa Marie Presley, you were not only loved by Elvis fans - but by Austin Butler fans as well," added another user. "I’m sending every ounce of strength I have to all of her loved ones. This is absolutely devastating."

A third described the timing of the passing as "chilling": "The timing of Lisa Marie Presley’s passing is absolutely chilling. Austin Butler is gonna deliver one hell of an Oscar’s speech for her & Elvis."

"At least Lisa Marie Presley got to see Baz Luhrmann and Austin Butler pay beautiful tribute to her father. Rest in peace," another user said.

Presley is survived by her three daughters, Riley Keough, Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this incredibly difficult period.
