Kylie Rittenhouse says Johnny Depp trial is 'fueling' him to 'fight back' against the media

Kylie Rittenhouse has revealed how the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial has inspired him to take action against the media.

Like many of us, it would appear that the teenager has been closely following the Johnny Depp defamation case, which saw the Pirates of the Caribbean star be awarded $10.35 million earlier this week by the Virginia court.

Depp successfully sued Heard for comments she made in an opinion piece for The Washington Post, in which, she referred to herself as "a public figure representing domestic abuse". Depp's lawyers argued that the piece damaged the 58-year-old actor's reputation and resulted in him losing work.

Now, Rittenhouse has tweeted that the case is "fueling" him.

Back in August 2020, Rittenhouse fatally shot two men and injured a third during a protest against police brutality in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Nevertheless, the teenager was later acquitted of five charges, including first-degree homicide in November 2021.

Then, in February of this year, Rittenhouse revealed his intentions to take legal action against those who spoke against him.

Speaking on an episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News, the host asked Rittenhouse: "You have a lot of potential targets to sue yourself. Will you be suing any of these news organizations? And if so, when?"

To which, the teen replied: "Well, right now we're looking at quite a few - politicians, athletes, celebrities... Whoopi Goldberg is on the list, she called me a 'murderer' after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers - she went on to still say that."

Rittenhouse was referring to comments made by Goldberg following the acquittal. During an episode of The View in November, she said: "Even all the excuses in the world does not change the fact that three people got shot. Two people were murdered. To me it’s murder. I’m sorry."

Rittenhouse also went on to name Cenk Uygur, who is the founder of The Young Turks.

The teen then stated: "We're going to hold everybody who lied about me accountable, such as everybody who lied called me a White supremacist. They're all going to be held accountable. And we're going to handle them in a courtroom."

In another tweet, he quoted Depp, saying: "'The jury gave me my life back.' 'Truth never perishes.' — Johnny Depp. I felt that! Congratulations to Johnny and his team on his defamation suit."

Now, in a tweet shared on June 1, Rittenhouse revealed: "I have a new announcement coming soon about my defamation cases, keep an eye on Fox News and http://TMAP.org for more this week.

"Johnny Depp trial is just fueling me, you can fight back against the lies in the media, and you should!"

Rittenhouse launched The Media Accountability Project earlier this year, which describes itself as "the official fundraising vehicle for helping Kyle Rittenhouse hold the worst offenders in our activist media accountable in court."
